Gotta bring this thread back to the front page. I dont have any new pictures of my OBR, but I had some 175gr reloads I wanted to shoot through it. The first was looking like a nice 3/8 MOA group, until I pulled the 5th shot I'll settle for 1/2 MOA though http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y6/angryblackpepper/IMG_1884.jpg You know you are supposed to measure those groups center to center, not outside diameter. Your groups are actually smaller than your measurement is showing!! Good shooting!! |

Not sure it'll make a difference here in Mi since 1000+ ranges are very had to come by. I'm switching back to a PRS on the 7.62, I just prefer it over the CTR & RISR on the 7.62. I'm thinking about a different stock for the 5.56, but it's scoped so eye relief is an issue. Anyone running anything other than a PRS or CTR w/RISE on a scoped OBR 5.56? Suggestions on what other stock to look at? |
|
Its funny that you mention the stock change! I just went (last night) from the CTR with a RISR to a PRS. I need to see how comfortable it is with the PRS over the CtR.

Ok let me put it this way. I was running a CTR and RISR with a set of Seekins rings. I tried the PRS but it did not feel comfortable at all. I think its the fact that I was running rings and not an LT111. I am trying the PRS with the LT111. (This is my third LT111) to see how comfortable it is. I wanted to make the move and see how it felt since I am taking two Magul classes back to back in April with my OBR. The LT111 will be in today (inset happy dance here) there will be a Bushnell HDMR in that bad boy. Really really excited about that.

I guess Mobius will probably have the first report... |

How much can you get out of selling a kidney??
Hopefully enough to buy one of each!! I'm very sad knowing I can't get one yet... I'd have to make it my only rifle by trading my current 5.56 & 7.62 rifles for one... Eventually one will be mine. Oh yes. It WILL be mine... (Wayne's World paraphrase) |

nice looking rifle, any reason you went with the Aimpoint / PRS...im assuming there will be a magnified optic in your future? Well, the PRS was chosen instead of the A2 stock...I"m in NY so no sliding stocks for us. I also like the PRS, as I'm 6'4" and the adjustability is nice. And yes, there is an optic coming (Vortex PST 4-16 FFP)...just need to let the card and wife cool off a bit. I also ordered the LT offset T1 mount, so I'll mount the PA Micro (T1 clone) on that for up close and the optic for precision work...no BUIS for this rifle. The LT mount that it's currently on will go to my wife's S&W MP15 .22lr with another PA Micro. Thanks so much, the OBR is a beauty and I look forward to a long relationship with her. Be good, TomK |

Pretty...
Grey is a happenin' color; Arc'teryx's new Wolf line is making me want more of it so I can match my jacket. |

It's a Mk4 4.5-14 FFP TMR. So basically mildot, with MOA turrets, MOA turrets that are half MOA adjustments. Ugh. It'll get replaced with the Leupold Mk6 3-18 H58 when that's released. |
