Very Nice Sir.

So what else do you have in your nifty bag of tricks that you would like to share with us?

Don't forget to say something nice about my pistol before you race out of here.

Sorry, I raced out the first time. I did make a point to come back. Mark, that IS a gorgeous 1911. I certainly looks a lot better than my Plain Jane Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II with Kimber Rosewood grips. I really like the work on the slide. I would be nice to see the slides offered, but it would take away the uniqueness of your 1911. Again, beautiful piece.

P.S. Oh, and nice pistol!

Sure we're gonna crank back up on the Bovax, but I'm certain the "Gang of Four" is already eyeballing this thread and licking their lips.

The conversation is probably going like this ...

"Did any of us check to see if LaRue has any protection on this?"

"He doesn't?"

"Damn, he's that stupid ?"

"Yep, and since we've seen rear sights before, we're free to build ours exactly like his and dare him to say anything about it !!"

"Yeah, and since we've got guys on the board that are like-minded guys like us, they'll cover our a$$es when word leaks out. "

"Hell yeah, and we'll have Stickman take pics just like Fingar's !!"

"Hooah !! Lets all have a drink. We're a f*ckin' bunch of genius sonsabitches !!

I own ONE 1911 ... and it is my primary off-duty piece.

Build these, and I'd own TWO 1911s.

Very nice looking 1911!

I just made my first order with you last week, should get my BUIS on Thursday, and something tells me that since you now have my credit card, I am in a lot of trouble.

Mark,

That is a real honey you have there - dang, both of 'em, the 1911 and your wife. I thought I was lucky by having my wife let me back into an M1A a few years ago, but sir, you are definitely in the major leagues with that STI.

Besides the down hill chamfers and the Bovax site, what are the specs on that piece?

Ahh yeah, it was I that pioneered the wire-EDMing of breech-faces. And the bore ... ahh yes, the bore ... the bore was only excelled by the straightness of the rails themselves.

Plus we "surfed" the tops of the rounded ones ... first to do that too.

Machined from a solid bar ... yep, we've been CNC Billet-machining for a couple decades now.

Caspian advertised back then that it took them 7 years to perfect their slide setup ... it took me 7 months.
