I hope he does. I just got a job with the DOJ and the old man said that if it ever happened I would get the pistol of my choice. Of course I can't wait around crossing my fingers for more than a couple weeks, more less forever.

There were not any complete pistols made, just the components shown in the old Austin Precision Products ad.

Good choice. I really love my TRP. The only thing I had to do to mine is replace the rear site with a 10-8 one and now the gun is almost perfect. I'd carry it as my duty gun if my dept allowed it.

My day got a whole lot better! For some reason my estimated 5 month wait shrank to 1 month. My gun arrived at my FFl today. I am picking it up tomorrow and it should be on duty early next week

I already got some larry davidson grips ready for it. I forget which version but I got there here on EE and they look/feel great

ETA: I picked her up on 6/29 and shot the heck out of her until my hands were raw and I love it. pics to follow!

Do it.....if not for me.....for the children.(That and you'll double your profits....I know that's not your top motivation from your customer service but I thought I'd go the low road and offer a cheap bribe. You do realize how much you'd shake up the 1911 market if these go into production, just as they are, double stack please, no single stacks, my hands are too big for single stack 1911s)

This is my Kimber 1911 with Micarta grips. I love this gun! I'm a former Texas Duputy Constable and this was my gun of choice to carry. I own 2 Glocks and love the reliabilty of them, but as far as 1911s go...gotta love the Kimber. IF LaRue makes a 1911 in the future, I would consider buying one! (Not the best picture because I took it with my phone...and sorry it's upside down...I'll fix later).

Any possible updates on if there is a chance in Hell that the slides and misc pistol parts will ever happen again?
