Yep, that's right.

Back in the mid-90s, we attacked and developed a setup to run the very best 1911 slides ever built ... at least at that time ... and to my knowledge, they have not been surpassed, maybe tied, but not surpassed.

Anyhow, my wife, for our anniversary, badgered Sir Dave Dawson into dragging down this 9 year old project in it's bucket and finishing it for me. It came as a complete surprise.

What you see is my "Angled" model. I ran those chamfers downhill. I was the first to do it. I also made the first slab-side. That 1st slab-side went onto Dave Bishop's pistol. You also see one of my many hammers (my sear is hidden).

Something some of you may recall and most have never seen is my "Bovax Rear Sight". I made up a little something to fit into Bomar cuts to turn a competition gun into a carry-pistol. You're looking at the last one known to exist, as far as my world goes.

Anyhow, I was flabberghasted when my bride handed this little number over to me.

Nice to be married to such a nice witness to my life.

Much thanks go to Dave Dawson and to Willie Tarver. Dave is too busy to mess with the likes of me and Willie, bless his heart, took that rusted up 12 year-old slide and made it into a thing of beauty.

Talk amongst yourselves, I need a moment here.

Hope you enjoyed 'em, and of course Mark Fingar's magic is again evident.

Well, crap. I ended up duping someone by a whopping 7 seconds. I'll go ahead and eliminate myself from the contest.

And I'll be watching my email since I "know the drill"

Is this going to be a production item or a one piece special build one?

What you see is one of the 500-per-month we used to build back in the 90s.

We're talking ourselves into going back into production ... or at least we're trying to talk ourselvess into it.

Nicely done.

Hopefully its a done deal by this time and items start rolling out the doors soon. Nice pistol is an understatement. Very nice
