How many LaRue 1911's were released into the wild years back (and would anyone want to sell one that they have ???????)?

I am picking it up tomorrow and it should be on duty early next week I already got some larry davidson grips ready for it. I forget which version but I got there here on EE and they look/feel great ETA: I picked her up on 6/29 and shot the heck out of her until my hands were raw and I love it. pics to follow! |

Do it.....if not for me.....for the children.(That and you'll double your profits....I know that's not your top motivation from your customer service but I thought I'd go the low road and offer a cheap bribe. You do realize how much you'd shake up the 1911 market if these go into production, just as they are, double stack please, no single stacks, my hands are too big for single stack 1911s)

My first visit to LaRue Tactical...I am blown away! That slide is outstanding. Your AR items are VERY impressive.

This is my Kimber 1911 with Micarta grips. I love this gun! I'm a former Texas Duputy Constable and this was my gun of choice to carry. I own 2 Glocks and love the reliabilty of them, but as far as 1911s go...gotta love the Kimber. IF LaRue makes a 1911 in the future, I would consider buying one! (Not the best picture because I took it with my phone...and sorry it's upside down...I'll fix later).

Any possible updates on if there is a chance in Hell that the slides and misc pistol parts will ever happen again?

Damn it.

Mark ,
Any chance you'll give up the name of who did the beautiful finish on your slide? I'm in the middle of a build very similar to your pictured pistol...Commander sized though! I would really love to have the brushed flats on my stainless steel slide. |
|
|
Bump to keep this alive!
Mark- You can add a Larue 1911 to my predatobr order! Sure would make a nice Christmas duo! On a side note, where is a good place to look to buy a slide that you made? I would LOVE a Larue 1911! |
|

THE TOP GUN HAS ONE OF THE FIRST FIVE SNAKESKIN CHECKERED FRAMES EVER DONE. THE BOTTOM GUN IS THE FIRST PISTOL WITH A PICATINNY RAIL CUT FOR MOUNTING TACTICAL LIGHT, BAYONET, ETC., EVER BUILT. IT'S A MAJOR MIRACLE THAT THE X300 FITS PERFECTLY TODAY. AT THAT TIME, MARC KREBS WAS ON EVERYONE'S SHORT LIST OF THE FINEST 1911 'SMITHS IN THE WORLD. I REMEMBER MARC WAXING ELOQUENT OVER THE NEW SLIDES HE WAS GETTING OUT OF TEXAS AT THAT TIME. GOOD SHOOTING, WES GRANT MSTN Looking at the bottom pistol, it looks like he was getting more than just the slides out of Texas. |

Keep in mind that my opinion is worth what you paid for it.

That is just outstanding craftsmanship. I wouldn't feel right shooting such a beautiful piece.

I'm a Wilson Combat fan, but I am sure they would understand if I mixed up my stash with a few LaRue 1911's.

I am just going to hope that they delivering some rifles before an AWB occurs.
The folks at LaRue Tactical seem very skilled at being both innovative and manufacturing reliable, durable, accurate firearms. They are nearly alone in todays industry at having both of these skills. I'm sure they could bring something new to the 1911 pistol table. But, since we have many fine 1911 makers, I hope they focus on the AR rifle as there are none better at the AR Rifle. |

A LaRue 1911 would look awful nice nestled in amongst my Wilson Combat Professional and Ed Brown Classic Custom. Nice indeed.

|
That is one sweet looking 1911 but before LT dabbles in that market i would love to see a 300 AAC Blackout upper in the near future. Hell i would buy both for sure but if i had to choose it would be the Upper. Superb accuracy and reliability make the .300 Blackout an ideal hunting cartridge and great for when the SHTF !

Holy smokes. If I could get a LaRue 1911 and LaRue 300 BLK my life would be complete. Add those to the 762 OBR and 556 tAR I'm waiting on. One step at a time I guess but a man can dream. Ok nope I'm not done yet. How absolutely beautiful would that be? I would just stare all day every day at this collection and giggle like a damn school girl. |

i think there is a problem with the LaRue website. the LaRue 1911 isn't available for pre-order.
