I've got to say I'm so impressed with the quality that LaRue puts into their work that I am going to make a thread just to say it. I just picked up my first M68 mount and I absolutely love it. Instructions are clear (for the dummies), included all the tools AND a little pill of loctite.
I TRULY RECOMMEND LARUE TO ANYONE. I plan on making many more purchases from LaRue in the future
Hemi-cuda, your thread is epic.
I renamed it and made the type bold today.

Hemi-Cuda, Thank you from all of Team LaRue. Thanks to you folks, we were able to move a long way pretty darn quickly because of all your feedback and input. Don't think for a minute that it's not appreciated. And we know we cut a fat hog when we got Lumpy's thumbs-up. M. LaRue |

No problem Mark, stuff as quality as this deserves every ounce of praise it can get. I have yet to see anyone put this much quality into their products. |

I actually had plans of starting a similar thread today.
A week ago I ordered a fullsize ACOG mount and barrel wrench from LaRue's website. I elected to pay for super speedy shipping so I could use the wrench for a couple of upcoming builds, one of which I planned on executing this past weekend. The confirmation indicated that the barrel wrench was backordered, so I called to inform them I wouldn't need the fast shipping since the wrench was all I need with any urgency. A very polite woman on the other end said that my order would be altered accordingly. Mon afternoon I receive a package from LaRue Tactical. It had my ACOG mount, but also a couple of goodies that I wanted anyway tossed in for free. The only thing I was charged for (excluding the backordered wrench obviously) were the mount and a miniscule amount for shipping. Needless to say I was floored by the gesture. I am continually impressed by LaRue products each time I encounter them. I now have two LaRue ACOG mounts, and had planned to own more LaRue products in the future based solely on their superior quality to anything else I've used. The fact that LaRue Tactical is run with a policy that puts the customer first, above all else, seals the deal for me. |

Careful now and I said this in another thread, someone recently told me that our LaRue cap is the equivalent of a de facto secret handshake. ML |

I'm sad to say I got my first piece of Larue product just a few days back. It was "just" a scope mount. Long story short, that "just" a scope mount made me decide to replace every handguard I have (no small undertaking) with Larue handguards, as well as my other optic mounts and light mounts.
Doesn't say much coming from a cowboy... I may carry it everyday, but its wrapped in leather, not at my shoulder poping tangos. Remember though, Winchester built the gun that won the west....but the cowboy carried it! |

Well even though I run the risk of piling on & sucking up to LT, here's my take on fellow Texans. I first saw Mark's work back in '97 @ Clint's TR TX in the form of his target stands. They really got my attention from a quality standpoint then. Years passed........
Fast forward to earlier this year & asked a friend/fellow Texan named Howe (yes, the one you're thinking of) to recommend a Leu. CQT mount & BUIS. A millesecond or two passed & his answer was ................. surprise, thats right LT. Spoke w/ Mike (a very nice & helpful fella) @ the shop this week & am now waiting on the next batch of CQT mounts. Like I tell my kids, try & do business w/ friends, much less neighbors just a few hours down the road. Keep up the good work guys & I hope to get down there to see you before the end of the year. BTW, I'm scrapping my plans to buy another pair of folding BUIS from a popular MA company. I can wait on quality from Leander. |

The only Larue thing I have is that canti mount for the Aimpoint. When I got it out of the shipping box, I thought "paper Mashi" it was sooo light. Had to tap it with my fingers... yep it's metal. Holds like nobodys business and returns to zero. Me happy
So I went to their site, looking for a mount setup for my 3x18 IOR (35mm rings) Patiently waiting in the Peoples Republic for Larue 35mm rings... |

I'm still waiting for LT to design and manufacture their version of a VFG. Something aluminum, quick detachable, and about an inch or so shorter than the CQD or TD.

I may not drink the Larue Kool-Aid like a few of the folks around here but they make some DAME FINE PRODUCTS!!!
I have one more Aimpoint in another mount (read: inferior) that will be switched to a LT-129 shortly. Larue Tactical, Keep up the good work Mark! |

How would one go about getting a LaRue hat?
(yes I've got some LaRue stuff before anyone asks! - their SPR mount is clearly machined from a solid billet of sweetness) |

Yeppers, back in the '70s, that's when I heard Texas' call for riflemen, I bailed out of Tennessee and drove the guns and me straight down here. Seems as if my intel was a little old and these Texans already had things under control. ML |
