I've thought for the past 20 years that a wrench with at least six engagement pins was an idea whose time had come. Mark and Company: build it.

Id buy a armor wrench from Larue any day. Hell Id get 2 without thinking
Well hell I can't abandon this thread now.
C'mon Mark! |

Did you miss me? I promise, I won't go slacking on the bumping anymore. |

The more I read this thread, the more I think this should happen.
Make it so, Mark. |
Yes... It's tough to keep up with the bump during hay season, which is in about two weeks. |
I shall do my best. |

Rough calculator estimations...
Std. GI AR barrel wrench with 3 prongs = 10 Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 30 Ft. Lbs. and 26.+? Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 80 Ft. Lbs. LaRue AR barrel wrench with 7 prongs = 4.+? Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 30 Ft. Lbs. and 11.+? Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 80 Ft. Lbs. LaRue AR barrel wrench with 8 prongs = 3.75 Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 30 Ft. Lbs. and 10 Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 80 Ft. Lbs. LaRue AR barrel wrench with 10 prongs = 3 Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 30 Ft. Lbs. and 8 Ft. Lbs. per tooth at 80 Ft. Lbs. |

I'd say Mark and Co. have gotten the hint by now. If it's marketable, it will be. They've got an excellent track record of taking care of customers, so at some point I'm sure it will make "The List". They're busy as hell right now from what I gather, so we all need to be patient for the next batch of LaRue goodness, as difficult as that may be.

It be very difficult. |

Eh, close enough. Bump.

Would it help if I called you Mr. LaRue?
Thanks for the bump guys.
I just finished the last 1100 bales yesterday. |
i would buy one as long as it looks like a dillo.......
... A MONSTER DILLO WITH 10 BIG TEETH!! |
if your gona shoot it, you might as well kill it.
Cliff! Good to have you back, buddy. Congrats on finishing up. I don't know anything about bailing, but I'm guessing 1100 bales is a pain in the ass! |

We had the last 1100 bales done in about 9.5 hours, there were thousands more than that in the days before. At 55 to 80 Lbs. a bale it's more than a pain in the ass. This works again> |
I will need a barrel wrench soon, I would love to get one of these if I can hold out, if I need one prior guess I will buy cheap and get a Larue later. Awesome idea though
If you are talking hay bales, I feel your pain....thankfully the family farm switched over to round bales about 15 years ago and life has been a lot easier. That said, I'd be interested in the wrench as well. Wes Edit: Bail/Bale |
Round bales are great and those giant square bales as well. |
So.. when does this hit the market?

Another bump for the month.

Great idea. If a LaRue barrel wrench were available, I would not have had to spend 30 minutes on a bench grinder last week with my POS barrel wrench (DPMS I believe it is) to install the barrels on my new builds.
It worked but I don't feel like I should have to use a bench grinder on a tool to make it perform the function it was made for. Mark, put it on the list man. |
Hey Joe. |
Am I the only one who get's dirty thoughts everytime I see the word Dillo?
I bet your ass smiles at the sight of the word ETA: It's a joke |
I KNOW the LaRue Crew will offer one up ...
...RIGHT AFTER I go buy one from somebody else. |
