Ok got to the range today with this rifle and some others. Only had 11 rounds of my own hand load match ammo.
I was using a 55gr Sierra BTHP GK with Varget powder(don't ask me the weight I'm not looking it up) with CCI primers and WWC (winchester) cases.
It's a standard hand load that I find works in about anything.
Anyway here in Ohio it was about 86 degrees and I had no wind. It was cloudy and I had a really shitty scope(but a 20x) to shoot with. I had a bad day shooting and both rifles I took out this one and a 6.8, I had problems settling in behind the rifle and I am older now and it was hard to get a clean pic with either scope.
Anyway I shot 4 sighters at 50yards bore sighting it and making sure I was on paper for 100 yards. Below is the only 5 shot group along with the 2 sighters at 100 to dial in the crap scope.
I'm sure once I get it broken in and with some good glass and good eye sight it should shoot sub MOA. I was able to shoot this one group having sent a total of now 16 rounds down the barrel.
Anyway when I get some more rounds loaded up and I get my girlfriend out to the range I can post some more groups.. After all, this is her rifle I built anyway.
