Sorry about the debris, as it sometimes happens no matter how careful we check each and every system after build up. Over time, sometimes the threads from the eyepiece (it's plastic as you know) tiny debris break away and fall into the image area. Sometimes folks think this may be an actual tube defect but as you can see it was nothing more than debris.
As for Amazon, yea they used to email us a lot trying to get us to to offer them product....We're just not the "Amazon or Gun Show" type commercial company. It's important for us to talk DIRECTLY with each of our customers before, during and (in your case) after the sale as well. While Amazon is convenient for many things, NV sales and product support is not one of them we feel.
