I have posted feedback here on the PVS-14. Please feel free to post your feedback here as I always appreciate your comments and so does the "other guy" about to buy. Thanks all!

1. This device is amazing ! The tube that Victor hand picked me is damn near blemish free. I have seen
pictures of other's PVS-14s and some of them have specs/blemishes everywhere or right in the field of
view... Well Victor doesn't sell that garbage, I promise you that ! The image is sharp and beautiful.
I don't believe that I would have gotten such a great device if I had went with an online store, I honestly
don't. I have been working on getting some pictures up... but alas I have not had the time to snap any
good pictures yet because it can be a little difficult to get them perfect when using a digital camera.
Plus the fact that I have limited NV experience : / Pics will be added to this post as I get them.

2. I am glad that I opted for the PVS-14 over the MUM because I really do like to variable gain control
and I use it very often. To everyone that is new to nightvision, like I am, the variable gain is just
what it sounds like... it lets you adjust the brightness of the image ( it comes in real handy when there
is a full moon out so you can lower it a bit, or when there is only startlight available or overcast you can
crank it up to get more light and see better with what ambient light you have around) The gain option is
worth researching if you are going to be buying soon.... because you may end up needing it.

3. If you are thinking of settling for a cheaper NV device or going with a Gen 2 I would suggest that you take
this wise advice.... Save your pennies and buy the best you can, don't settle when it comes to these kinds
of optics. A fella over in the AR15 > Optics section says that you only cry inside once when you spend this kind of
money... well he was half right Odds are you will cry inside twice; once when you spend the money and
again when you get the credit card bill in the mail But believe me... it is worth it.

And my most important point....

Victor, one heck of a nice guy !!! I sent him countless IMs and E-mails over the course of about 2.5 weeks and he
went above and beyond to help me. He answered all of my questions perfectly and honestly, which had to be hard to do
because I had some really nitpicky questions. I believe that he would still be answering my questions to this day because he knows
that "he" sells the product, the product does not sell itself. By that I mean that Victor is a great person to deal with and more than patient. He will not do you wrong. He knows that a website such as this can make or break a person's reputation... I believe that he will only excel because he has nothing to lose, yet everything to gain from customers like me that will be with him for life

This post sounds like some kind of rehearsed sales pitch, but it truly isn't. Ask anyone who has bought from Vic... they will agree with everything I just typed. Hell, IM or call him and talk to him... you will understand why I wanted to express my thanks in the way that I have.

Vic, thanks for everything. I am going to work hard over the next few weeks to get some good pictures... even if I have to spend all night in the freezing cold to do so

Kids, buy with confidence

Yet another happy customer.

Victor,

I finally got on opportunity to try out the PVS-14 that I purchased from you last weekend in the Mojave Desert. I am quite familiar with the PVS-7Bs that I used while in the Corps, however, I wanted to try something new out for a change and the PVS-14's seemed to be a little more versatile, as I seen in your posts.

I drove my jeep out to an area called Cuddeback Dry Lake for some night vision driving. It was not only a moonless night, but a cloud covered one as well. This area is very remote. Needless to say there was not a lot of ambient light to work with. Even with my headlights on, it was close to pitch black. I was unable to see any land features such as ridges or mountain tops. With the PVS-14 on, I could see all of that and was able to drive with the lights off across the lake.

Having just one eye covered allowed me much more peripheral vision than with a PVS-7.

I'm very pleased with the purchase.

My time is short and so are my comments. But, when it comes to dealing with Victor D there is not much to say. WHY YOU ASK???

Well, I was fortunate enough to be one of the first people to get a hand-select single battery PVS14 from Vic. It is quite simply the most flawless, high-grade unit I have ever purchased. Yes that's right I have purchased a few units from Vic and you know what? They got better with each one. How? Vic D thats how.

I have yet to use this bugger out in the field but you know what else? It doesn't matter. The confidence level I have from dealing with Vic in the past is all I need until I get out for some night navigating. Really folks. It may sound silly, but the single batt PVS14 looked so damn good that I played with it for about an hour, put it away, and went and checked the calendar for the next moonless night. Confidence, quality, service and trust. Tactical Night Vision Company folks. There is nothing more to say.

Okay there is one more thing. Thanks Vic for the value you have built into every purchase. And thank you especially for being such an NV resource and spending the time to help me work out all the details and bugs concerning my various purchases. Each of my units has functioned flawlessly and I am extremely happy with each and every one of them.

Hats off to you sir and many blessing to TacNight!!!

Kind Regards- Freddy Erdman

Another great article and feedback with great pics!!

Most of the stuff here will be going on a new 6.8 upper that has not arrived yet but it was fun to try out the new gear. Then this carbine will be totally changed as well. It never ends.

The PVS-14 is a hand select from board member Victor of the new single battery model with 73lp and a signal/noise of almost 30. It is very clear with only one blem at about 9 o'clock. I took the best specs instead of blem free and it doesn't bother me a bit. Yet another LT mount which is great but non-adjustible for height. (play "count the LT products" on this thing) This is the high mount. Since I much prefer EoTechs to Aimpoints, the low mount is needed and is on the way. (Thanks WES!) I know that you guys that use NV for "real" do not mount it on your weapon and I fully understand why but for me and my needs, it works great. Besides, is it just me or is a helmet the piece of gear that pushes the civilian from "really into gear and shooting" to "better keep a close eye on him" status.

The Gemtech did a great job of both suppressing the sound last night and more importantly acting like a flash hider for the -14. The DBAL is just flat wicked with awesome power. The range is just over 650 yards long and the illuminator lit up everything we hit like the sun. I tried to take pics through the NV but they didn't work out this time.

This is a great set up; reliable and accurate. Big draw back is weight but luckily I never have to carry it far or for long. And then as my friend pointed out last night, there is the cost. I've done it piecemeal so I never really thought about it but my little SP-1 folder that I bought years ago for $400 is nearly $20k as you see it (counting the RDIAS of course) Yikes.

Thanks to Victor for the outstanding unit and great customer service. He even called me to discuss the whole deal and then put up with a couple of really dumb questions. I see a D760 in my future.

For the spec crowd:
Colt SP-1 lower
Colt M4 upper
Colt BCG and MP bolt
Magpul M93B, early MIAD (love the grip tape) and triggerguard
Troy sights
LT 12.0
Noveske 14.5, SS, poly, 1/7, 5.56 match chamber w/ Gemtech bilock (John flat out makes awesome barrels and is a GREAT guy)
LT gas block
TD vert grip, modified to take pressure switch
KAC sling QD swivel mount
BFG/Vickers sling
LD DBAL w/LT mount upgrade
SF M952 w/ LT mount upgrade
Aimpoint M2, 2MOA in LT cantilever monut
AN/PVS-14 in LT mount
Bolt carrier, bolt, trigger, akll pins and internals coated in nickel teflon.

3-21-2007 Initial Feedback for PVS-14SB Gen3 Select Alpha w/ ITT Tube Data Card:

**Until I can field test these, this will be the initial feedback irt' Victor D', TNVC, and first impressions.**

So, I decided to buy some Gen3 NV on Saturday, 17 March 2007. And not having touched any NVD's in a couple years (PVS-4/5/7 series & 1st gen PVS-14's in the .mil), I had some questions. So I began by narrowing it down to a M.U.M. or a set of PVS-14's, and then I contacted Victor at TNVC. It took me a day and a half of e-mail/IM's with Victor, but I then got it narrowed down to PVS-14's, and then some more by deciding on Select "A"'s w/ tube data card.

With that I then threw him a curve ball by seeing if he could meet some demands. The problem is/was that I live pretty close to Rainier Arms in WA, and John sells PVS-14's too, with the prices being pretty close, but TNVC being the cheaper of the two. So my dilemma was instant gratification by buying local, or saving about $450.00 between the price diff' and having to pay state sales taxes, which is almost a no-brainer. The curve ball was that I told Victor I was willing to wait on shipping, but not that much, and that I needed 2-day shipping if I went with him. Victor didn't bat an eye, said no problem, and went so far as to tell me when exactly he would ship it, and when it would be here. Satisfied, I placed my order with him on Sunday the 18th, Monday I got my tracking number, and today (wedn) it was here by 1100hrs. He was true to his word.

My first impressions, product wise, was the box was packed well, and again, on time. (continued below pics')

On opening I noticed the Pelican Case (Delta Kit), and borrowing one of Victors pictures, these other items.

And my PVS-14SB/A's

Happy with what I saw, I put in a battery, went to the walk in closet and closed myself in, and powered up, w/ IR. Upon focusing I immediately noticed the tube was exactly as Victor described, quality wise, and my first "on" impressions was.... holy $#!t. I am no expert on tube grading, nor claim to be, but my PVS-14SB "A"'s had only one spec blemish on the very edge, at about 5 o'clock. Very nice.

That said, and in closing for today and more testing, I am very satisfied thus far. I would guess about 20 e-mail and IM's were exchanged before using the phone, Victor was very prompt in responding, very forthright, and patient. He also lived up to every promise he made. Was also very nice on the phone, again patient, and delivered exactly what he said. So a big A+ thus far....

Well, I finally got a chance to get out and test my new hand select alpha tube 14s from Victor and must say that they are outstanding! Thank you Victor! I am in a position where I have had the opportunity to use quite a few different NODs including the AN/PVS-21s, 14s, 7Ds and some others and can say that the 14s I received from Victor are very good. I don't even notice any cosmetic flaws! I am very happy with my purchase and thank you very much for the good service Victor. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and I look forward to doing more!

Thanks for everything Vic!!!

ETA: Do not hesitate to call Victor, and there is no other reason to look elsewhere for NV equipment. Why try the "rest" when you can buy from the "best"!

On a personal level, it is rare in e-commerce today to find an individual that is as knowledgeable as Victor about the products he sells and is at the same time willing to take whatever time necessary to go above and beyond in to answer any and all questions that the customer may have in the pursuit of great service. I would urge anyone that is interested in purchasing night vision equipment to contact Victor.

Finally, I would also like to mention that the Variable Torch which I received from Victor is truly an amazing piece of equipment. The performance for the dollar is unmatched in my opinion.

Victor,
My emails to you are getting bounced, so I'll post here. I got word from home that the 14 arrived, and I left feedback for you in the EE. Now I'll just be waiting until July to check it out.
Thanks,

They have the cleanest picture of any tube I ever used in the Army. Not a single blem that I could detect and the light gathering was nothing short of awesome. They were definitely the hit of the BBQ that we had that weekend. Mated up with my PAQ-4C I could see the IR beam as far as the eye could see. Luckily I live on the edge of town with nothing but fields to the side of the house, so myself along with some other friends got a little time to play.

The first remark out of everyone who already owned some type of NV devise was the fact that there were absolutely no visible blems and a bright crisp picture.
It was truly everything I had anticipated if not more. Didn't get a chance to do a night shoot or take the jeep for a spin with them, but that will give me something to do next time I come home.

I just want to thank Victor again for all the help and guidance as well as for selling a top notch product as advertised. It is definitely one of the coolest pieces of kit that I own.

More feedback on my PVS-14's! Thank you!

I was tracking my PVS-14 online this week, and as fate would have it, it wound up on a delivery truck just five miles away in the terminal...doomed for a lonely weekend in a warehouse. So, I drove to town and was happy to see humans working, on a Saturday, at the FedEx terminal. I gave a guy my DL and he went to search the van.

I'll skip the part about the basement, other than to say that it just made me more anxious for night to fall. There was only one way to kill this downtime: rangetime! So, I drove over to a friend's house, shot all day, and came home to try out my new toy.

There's no doubt about it folks, the head harness supplied with the unit is truly a skull crusher. It has to go (bike helmet project to follow). It will give you a headache and force your face into stroke-like contortions.

But...in the hour one has before the cranium collapse, I walked about the woods I live in the midst of. I did learn that by keeping the gain as low as possible, the greater the clarity of the picture, so I'm very glad I got a 14 with adjustable gain. This must be one of the greatest benefits it has over some of the other devices.

One of the greatest concerns I had about a monocular was whether or not I would have a tendency to try and close the other eye, or otherwise feel uncomfortable with only one eye "in the know". I did not and, in fact, had to make a conscious effort to realize that I was "using" just one eye. Moreover, I was often closing the 14 eye to get a visual on the reality of the darkness. I can see where this would be a huge factor in a tactical situation; being aware of what the enemy might be seeing, and knowing how exposed or not you are under the circumstances.

The focusing ring goes from infinity to arm's length in a very short turning distance. This also seemed a great bonus as I was normally at infinity, but I can see (hahahaha) where going half-way would be the norm while in a room or house, and then just another short turn will allow for map reading and close tasks. Perhaps I'm not explaining this well, but I wasn't consumed with a constant refocusing, which I would have found annoying.

The stars: man-oh-man...like being in the middle of the desert at night, right there in my backyard.

The moon: what is it right now? Quarter? It's like looking at the sun itself through a 14.

The cat: I found it very interesting that my cat was totally freaked out that I could follow her and regardless of how still she was, or how low she hunched, she couldn't lose me. She didn't know what to make of that, and darted away in a quick panic whenever I approached. Nature's advantage taken away.

Vic's pick: I haven't used this out of the woods yet, but I honestly can not find one blemish on this tube. I also can't thank him enough for the great patience he displays with all of our questions and the service and quality he provides. I may have agonized for another year over my purchase had I not known with certainty that I'd get the best from Vic. Thanks, dude.

If you're thinking about doing it: do it! I had a lot of eye time behind PVS Vs while in the service (yeah...20 years ago). At that time, I was astounded with the image quality and technology. Now, 3rd generation totally sinks those old goggles (not to mention sheds about fifty pounds--talk about a skull crusher). Perhaps the only beef I have with the 14 is the fact that it's going to take a while for my digits to get some muscle memory to adjust the small gain knob, power knob, and focusing rings. Hey, maybe I'm just getting old.

Okay, I think it's time to walk out of these woods and take a stroll down the road where I'll have open fields and sky to really give this marvel a go. I hope this has helped somebody out there make a decision or answer a question. [/quote

The single-battery, Autogated PVS-14 with Hand-Picked G-3 Tube with manual Gain control knob that Victor sold me is top-notch to say the least. The electronics/circuitry and Tube of these units are outstanding with an image that is crisp and clean.
Great customer service and the guy will go the extra mile for you on Quality and with customer satisfaction guaranteed. He does not mind if you Call/e-mail him to ask questions and he will work with you. To let you get comfortable with the particular unit and specifics before you buy. I recommend Victor with confidence and will purchase again from T.N.V.C. .

Monocular have come a Long way over the past few years and Clear image is just an understatement. It's more than just a clear tube and I wish my other high-end and 'Heavy weight' weapons gen-3 sight was as good a quality and just as Up-To-Date as this Monocular is in circuitry. The hand-picked tube with quality of image, the manual Gain control PLUS the 'light weight' . A monocular with this level of image combined with the versatility of Weapons mount in Tandem or with Head-Gear is where it's at.
If you are seriously looking and don't mind paying the extra for him going the extra mile for you in customer service and quality of product being offered. I recommend him with confidence. Victor is GTG as far as I am concerned.

In researching NV equipment I came across Victor's name on several occasions and decided to give him a call - best thing i ever did. I first got his voicemail and left a message, expecting to hear back from him at some point - I was quite surprised when the"some point" occurred within five minutes. Victor was very understanding of my being a newbie. He answered all of my questions patiently and, more importantly, brought to my attention numerous other considerations that I didn't know enough to ask about on my own. Never once did I feel foolish about any of my questions and I very much appreciated Victor using the call as an opportunity to educate me. I think our first call lasted about 25 minutes or so. I described my intended use and needs - predator hunting at varying ranges, using an assortment of weaponry - and Victor described to me what he would use under my circumstances.

After mulling over my purchase decision, I called Victor back the following day and placed my order. He was very upfront about timing and about what was and was not in stock. He let me know that new tubes were due to arrive within a two day period and that it would be sent out immediately upon receipt. Accessories were sent out immediately in a well-packed container which I received within two days. Victor proactively called me each day to let me know whether the tube shipment had arrived and when FedEx sent his package to the wrong location- costing an extra day- Victor voluntarily sent me my unit Next Day delivery at his own cost! That is the way to do business and the way to build a loyal clientele.

I purchased a hand select PVS-14, IR Torch, Quick Mounting Ring, and Universal Day Scope Adaptor kit. All of the items are truly outstanding and I am still blown away by the quality of the vision - the unit has by far exceeded my expectations. I view this as just the first of many purchases that I'll be making through Victor and can't say enough about how user friendly, knowledgable and responsive he is. Making a purchase of this magnitude is obviously not trivial. Anyone looking to take the step into the world of quality night vision need look no further than Victor and Tactical Night Vision for the best experience available anywhere at any price.

Thank you Tom! Your PVS-14 tube was something to see!

First off, I think Victor's customer service is the best I have ever experienced. He spent far more time than I would have expected answering questions, and made sure I was making the most informed decision possible (with my limited experience). His response to my emails were typically within 30 minutes of sending it.

I ended up going with an ITT PVS-14 hand select, and ya know, I can't really seem to find any blatent blemishes. If I focus in on a white wall, I might pick up on an extremely small speck at the edge. But I really have to try to find it.

Overall, the tube is incredible, and recommend going with a 3rd Gen if you can afford it. It was money well spent, and I will work with Vic again in the future without a second thought.

Just received a NEPVS-14 from Victor. It is a hand select, also got da torch, 3X magnifier and delta kit. It's amazing the quality of this tube. Spent 18 months in Iraq, 04 & 05, we didn't have anything near as nice; of course I shouldn't compare the pvs-7 with a 14. The few 14's I managed to get my hands on wasn't as clear as the Night Enforcer.

I would recommend that you’re caught up on sleep when it arrives. I haven't gotten much the last few nights. Who cares when their are things to be seen at night. I live on a small farm and it's amazing the amount of activity that goes on in the night.

I couldn’t recommend a more helpful and honest individual as Victor. His products are the best by far and he will help insure you get the proper product for your needs.

My initial email to Victor was June 20, 2008. That is when I admitted to him, “I am an ABSOLUTE novice at NV. The ensuing communications with Victor spanned 3 weeks, 14 pages and 5115 words of emails and various phone conversations. His responses were timely, informative and gracious although I’m certain some of my queries must have seemed sophomoric to him. I later learned that one series of exchanges occurred while he was on a boat fishing; another time while he and his wife were driving to Vegas (she was driving, he was texting)! Who else have you ever met that gave you that kind of service without expecting a huge tip?!?!?

THE RESULT:
On Thursday July 10th, 2008 I finally ordered my ITT NIGHT ENFORCER FULL PINNACLE AUTOGATED PVS-14 and Da TORCH (variable) IR ILLUMINATOR.

When I placed the ordered he said he had enough units coming in that day that he could get mine out the next day (Friday). Then, on Friday, he informed me he didn’t like the quality of all the units he received so he made the decision to wait for the next shipment before he sent me one. Now you haven’t been reading this long enough to have forgotten that I admitted to Victor that I am a novice with no prior use of good NV gear, especially Gen 3. He could very easily have sent me a “less than perfect” unit and, in all likelihood, I would have never known the difference. He chose the high road…the right road…and opted to deliver me a unit that met his expectations rather than sending one that was just “good enough”. Now THAT’s great customer service!!!!!!!! The following Tuesday, July 15th, he called to let me know he was shipping out my PVS-14 and upgraded it to 3 day express to make certain I had it for the weekend. Again…great customer service!!

Well, it arrived early Friday as promised. Unfortunately for me it is one of Portland, Oregon’s rare, beautifully sunny and clear string of days. And as it turns out the night is as bright and shiny as a new penny and I have a house full of guests! Although I would feel perfectly justified in disappearing, unseen, into the night, the Minister of Finance / Social Director would issue me demerits it I did. Alas…an extended field test will have to wait another day…er…I mean, night.

I’m hoping to sneak out later tonight if I can do so without waking up the guests. I’ll keep you posted on my first impressions.

Until then, I want to thank Victor Di Cosala at TNVC for all your guidance, generosity with your time and excellent service. I feel like I know you although we’ve never met. The new shirts and hats are really cool, too!

I also want to thank all the forum members that have trod this path before me. I’ve read your night vision posts going back years. I learned a lot from you guys. In the beginning I wasn’t even aware of what questions to ask, what to avoid or what to consider in purchasing NV gear. You saved me from making a mistake in my selection process.

For anyone who has gone through their first NV purchase you can stop reading here and wait for my next post on actually using the new gear. HOWEVER if you are brand new to the idea of night vision and in research mode like I was, you may find some info in the text that follows that will help you along in your own decision making. Even if don't find any valuable info at least you’ll know that you’re not the first to be overwhelmed by all the choice available…

MY INTENDED USES:
- To have a look when those “what’s that noise" moments occur.
- A bit of coyote elimination.
- Camping
- An extension of CQC drills.
- Add to my SHTF kit

MY NV PROCESS:
I have always wanted night vision capabilities but I have never been able to justify the expenditure for good equipment. At Christmas two years ago my wife bought me a Night Owl monocular from Big-5 Sports for about $180. You can imagine the quality. I didn’t know much about night vision but I knew THAT is not what I was expecting! Within 3 days I made up an excuse to return it.

I started out assuming a binocular or biocular unit would be the way to go (AN/PVS-7 type). My research, primarily by browsing miscellaneous NV forums, made me think otherwise. Since I’m not at all comfortable with the inability to be “situation aware” I came to realize a monocular unit is more suitable. Of course that lead me to the AN/PVS-14 types.

In the beginning I also assumed that G1 equipment would “do just fine” and be pretty easy price-point to swallow. I was thinking Rigel Optics since they tell a good story and are 30 miles away in Washougal, WA. Then the forums convinced me it would be a waste of money to get anything less than G2. That moved me from $700 to the $1,400 range; more expensive but still justifiable. Of course then I began to home in on all the additional benefits of Gen3!! NOW we move from the $1,400 - $1,800 range to $3,000 or more!! By then I was WAY away from being able to justify the expenditure for my limited, recreational, non-lifesaving uses. I would just have to admit to myself that I WANT IT and that will have to be justification enough. “Besides,” I told myself. “You can always volunteer for search & rescue if it really needs to be justified. And think what a cool addition it would be to my SHTF kit.”

Then I checked for used G2 / G3 on the market. That got me back to a reasonable (still not justifiable) price-point but, once again, the forums dampened that idea. They pointed out that given the delicate nature of the equipment, the useable lifespan of the tubes and how easily the tubes can be damaged (bright light exposure) that it is considered a pure gamble to buy used. I may save a little money OR end up throwing away a lot!!

Online searches rendered a confusing list of model numbers, specifications, manufacturers, tube grades and tube sources (USA, Russian, etc). That led me back to the forums!! I decided to change my focus from finding equipment to finding an EXPERT on the equipment. Strangely…it was very difficult to find end-users who were bragging about their vendor(s). Sure, they had strong opinions on particular devices and even some manufacturers (i.e.: “Night Owl is a toy…”, “Seben is old tech…”, “ATN optics is crap!”), however, they didn’t brag about their buying experience or vendor. Then I found Victor’s name popping up on several forums. I must say, he has developed quite a reputation for being the expert as well as providing great customer service!! (I, too, am a business owner and fully realize how hard it is to get that reputation and how easy it is to lose it!!). I’m glad I ran across him.

In closing, I always want the best I can afford when purchasing anything. But most importantly I don’t want to WASTE money on something that has a poor cost/benefit ratio! If I cannot be convinced of the value in something I have the strength to just walk away, the patience to save or to wait until prices fall (technology is famous for that). As it turns out I spent nearly 3 times what I initially intended but when I did the “Cost” vs “Value” analysis it works for me.

Now…I need a good silencer for an AR so I don’t wake the neighbors when I tag coyotes on cold, dark nights…

RidgeDog, this has to be one of the most flattering pieces of feedback I have received! Thank you for the kind words. As for the fish trip, darn trout were not biting over the 4th of July and I just had gotten my Blackberry not too long ago.... As for the Vegas drive, we were exhausted after the MURLM shoot and demo travels and decided to let the Minister of Finance drive while I had the lap top cranked up!

Glad you're enjoying the unit, get some sleep!

AMAZING photo work!! Oh and thanks for the kinds words...I missed it at first sorry, the pics dazzled me a bit.

I've known Victor for a while and can honestly say that he is one of the best guys in the NV industry. I've used N before, but it was back in the day when all they were issuing was the PVS7B. So, while I have some operational background, I still had questions about the latest and greatest. One of the best things about Victor is that he really knows his stuff forwards and backwards. But, what's more, he is personable enough to give individual customer service; something that is rarer and rarer in this industry. But, he's probably blushing, so I'll move on.

This unit is one of the best I've ever seen. The tube is so clear and the image so crisp, that is almost like walking outside at noon and looking around with a piece of green celofane over your eyes. In fact; it's just like that when you turn it on the IR setting.

Everything is "as advertised" and better. The tube is flawless, the clarity and sharpness is beyond words; even when the automatic brightness control kicks in. I just cannot say enough good things about this PVS14.

Like the rest of you, the wife had to see what this "crazy night vision thing" was all about. Like the rest of your wives, she was stunned. She is a photographer, as is apparent by the pics, so I will post some "through the looking glass" shots once I get the camera adaptor kit from Vic.

If you are on the fence; don't hesitate. This thing is just plain awesome.

As for customer service Victor is unbeatable! I was going back and forth with him and constantly changing my mind as to what I wanted to get. Victor never pressured me or and was very patient as well as informative with me.
I higly reccomend both the PVS 14 and Victor!

Thanks Victor!

This just came in on another board www.predatormastersforums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=52930503&an=0&page=0&gonew=1#UNREAD and thought I would post it here. Some SERIOUS hunters at that site as well!

Hi All,

I just wanted to put up a quick post regarding my recent experience purchasing a night vision unit from Tactical Night Vision (www.tacticalnightvision.com):

I originally tried to order a generation 2 device from a company called Morovision, but they had some pretty serious order delays going on for the model that I wanted, so I had to cancel the order. Based on the all of the positive feedback that I've seen about Victor and TNV, both here and on some of the other internet forums, I just decided to give TNV a call and go that route.

Victor was extremely helpful and and gave me some good advice regarding the difference in quality between the generation 2 and generation 3 devices. I ultimately decided to just bite the bullet and get a gen 3 device. Victor had them in stock and was able to ship it to me overnight.

The device is an ITT PVS14 monocular, and all I can think to say about it is WOW! The image quality and clarity is unbelievable on these things. Like I told Victor, after I had a chance to try the system out, fighting soldiers that have this kind of equipment must be like fighting the freakin' martians...

There were absolutely no visible defects in the image from the device; no black spots, grids, etc. I tested it on a completely overcast night, with almost no ambient light, and you could still see cows at about 200+ yards away. After a while, the moon came out from behind the clouds and it looked like watching the sun rise over the New Mexico desert - the picture was unbelievable with the moonlight hitting the fields...

Victor was extremely helpful with everything, and it's clear he's the kind of business operator who is committed to ensuring that his customers have a great experience. I now understand why Victor has such a great reputation on the 'net, and I'm definitely going back to TNV the next time I need an NV unit.

Cheers!

Amazing gear and Fantastic service. Just want to pass-on my experience dealing with Victor. I recently treated myself to a couple shiny, new NEPVS-14s. Victor's knowledge of the product is exemplary as is his responsiveness and willingness to help and make suggestions. Anyone in the market for NV gear need look no further. Victor is 'The Guy'.

His service after the sell is top notch.

Our police department gets a lot of runners in to the woods and cant wait to bring it to work. I believe the unit is a great bargain. Dont bother looking at the 1st gen stuff, it's only good as toys for your kids.
Vic was also one of the most patient people I ve dealt with and will get all my NV business from now on.

THIS IS WAY OVERDUE!!

Back in July 2008 I bought a PVS-14 from Vic. (You can review my original comments July 17, 2008 above in this thread). Since that time the PVS + Da'Torch Variable has help me bag 6 'yotes without leaving my porch!! (Three in one strafing attack - the third one shouldn't have stopped to look back!)

I don't have a digital camera so a friend took these pics a few months ago and FINALLY emailed them to me so I can do "Show and Tell".

I apologize in advance for our lack of photographic prowess

Some of My CQB Training Gear (now I can finally do dark entry work)

My Coyote Reduction Setup

PVS-14 Mounted High & Tight

Da'Torch Keeping Point

Thanks Again Vic, for All Your Guidance!!
I Couldn't be More Pleased!!

Oh...and for the upcoming "Pics of the 'yotes or it didn't happen". Remember, I don't have a digital camera (maybe Santa Clause )

If you are going to "bite the bullet" and lay down well earned cash, don't go anywhere else for your NV needs. The hype is true. Thanks Victor!

Received my Autogated PVS-14 today via a ultra hot delivery lady from UPS. Not sure if Victor arrainged that or not, but I'll give him credit.

The night vision is amazing. I can't believe I waited this long for NV optic. I have planned for it since I purchased an EOTech 552 w/NV capability over 3 years ago. The tube is near flawless. After looking for over 15 minutes, I thought I saw one minor (and I do mean minor) blemish, but later this evening, I coudn't find it again.

Victor you were awesome in helping get through the payment issue, and I appreciate the return phone calls and personal customer service. I shows that you care about your business and your customers. I am glad I supported an ARFCOMer and his business.

Thank you again. I will work on photos and possibly a video if I can hook up the HD camera to the unit.
