Does it require that heatsink barrel nut?
How is it attached to the upper receiver - with the countersunk screws in the top rail? Are those tapped into the upper receiver? Like the HSR handguard, so I'm wondering about retrofitting it to a different upper. My apologies for what are probably simple questions. I don't own a POF that I can inspect. Thanks! |

Unfortunately for what you are trying to do, the new HSR style rails haven't been made in the retrofit style. The old Predator style rails would work with a flat top upper, but for a few years the POF-USA rails have screwed into the upper receiver, which is modified in the way you described above. |
