I ordered a beautiful, but defective, 7” keymod rail on 5/27.
So I left an email for Rainier on 6/4 and also called a few times yesterday and a couple times today, but can't seem to get a hold of anyone. I figured this was the next best place to try.
I would like to go about the process of getting a replacement rail for the defective one I ordered, but can’t get a hold of anyone for the pre-approval return.
My exact issue is this. One of the two helicoils in the rail backed out of rail when I was un-installing it from one upper to place on a different upper. I didn’t use Loctite, I didn’t have the allen screw on the bottom locked down and I only torqued the allen bolts evenly with medium hand strength. The rail was far from fully installed.. In other words, if I wanted to, I could have slid the rail off the properly installed mounts (bushings were placed correctly). However, the helicoil must have not had a proper seat/anchoring and it chose to stick to allen bolt instead of staying in place when I backed the bolt out. How can I go about getting this rail replaced? I have a pic for reference.
Thanks!
