I just ordered a new Avalanche today in black. I've been using one of your Raptors for the last year or more, and was pretty excited to try this new design out. I have several other RA components on the 3 AR's in my safe, including 2 UltraMatch barrels, so while I'm not your biggest customer, I'm certainly not new to RA either.
I was pretty bummed with my order today though. When checking out, I thought I saw 2 shipping options - one that was your usual $7.95 option, which usually takes almost a week to get to me, and another "ground" option for a little over $13 (the charging handle was the only thing on my order). Shame on me for thinking the other ground option would be UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, both of which would be quicker than the USPS, and both of which would (almost) justify a $13 shipping cost on a charging handle. Then I received an email with tracking # and shipping info for USPS First Class. Essentially, you're going to mail me a charging handle in an envelope for $13?
I called in and asked about this, and the explanation is that for my extra $$ spent, my order moves up to the "front of the line" and ships today. Perhaps this is written on the site during checkout and I missed it. Perhaps I would think, if an order came in early enough, you'd ship it the same day regardless? Midway does. Primary Arms does. Is quick shipping / good service something you charge extra for? I love your products, you definitely make some of the best stuff around. The website is great. But I will most certainly think long and hard before buying directly from you again.
ETA: As of now (12:30 Central Time, the day after my order was placed), the supplied tracking # shows "Pre-Shipment Info Sent To USPS". I believe this means you created a tracking number, but the USPS has not picked up or received the package yet.
ETA: Tracking shows the package picked up at 3:27 the following day and is on the way now.
I'm not the complaining type, but this pissed me off!
