I recently purchased the following components from Rainier for an AR-15 build:
18" bull barrel (Rock Creek blank)
RA billet upper/lower combo set (mod 2)
RA Ultramatch BCG, phosphate
My question is, does RA check headspace when they put the barrel extensions on their barrels, if so, do they check it using one of their bolts? I do plan on checking it before firing for the first time but I wanted to hear from the experts, there are countless discussions on headspace importance and a million different opinions, what do the pros do?
P.S. Awesome quality on all the components I purchased from RA! Best upper/lower quality I've seen. I have a Rock Creek barrel on my Rem 700 and it's amazing so I can't wait to see how this one does. Great customer service from the staff at RA also. Thanks!
