I would really like to tuck an Ops Inc can under an Evo rail, but im concerned that it will be so close and any flex will cause the can to contact the rail.

Im just curious if you guys have ever seen it done before, or if Stick has tried it.

Thanks

We've seen cans tucked under, but the suppressors of the 1.5" diameter variety just fit under, however, they do contact the rail with a little bit of flex.

I have a thread on under a PRI. It gets very hot very fast. For my purposes that's fine but if not being able to hold it after 90 rounds is a problem for you...

Thanks, that was another concern.
I im trying to keep it as short as possible and maintain an 11" rail, but maybe Ill just go with a shorter rail

Its looking like a 9" rail and the Ops Inc M4-M or a 10" rail and a mini4

Either of those would be fine builds.

Is there a list of suppressors that work well under the Evo rails?

I have been looking around at all the different measurements trying to figure out which will be best, but numbers and my head don't get along too well...

As far as 5.56 cans go, most have a diameter of 1.5". You could mount a can under the Evo, but the tolerances are too tight/close and the heat transference would simply be too much. For 9mm and .22lr builds and suppressors they work great.

OK! So, you advise against using the Evo rail with a 5.56 can underneath? Do you have any other suggestions? I have an 11.5" barrel, and am looking at using a 12" rail with a suppressor. I suppose I could always use an 11" rail, too.

The Seekins Precision BAR sounds like it would work for you. The inner diameter can accommodate a 5.56 suppressor.

Hmm... I am really looking forward to using an Evo rail. I much prefer the design of it to the wavy slots in the Seekins. The fact that it used the factory barrel nut is a great plus, too. Not to mention the fact that I don't need or want a full railed handguard.

I will probably just go with an 11" in that case, thanks!
