I used to have an ACR. I really liked it but my complaints were that the barrel profile was retarded (M4 profile when it should have been a light weight proprietary one) and the rail felt like a football. I was thinking about having the barrel turned down but the rail system was just absolute crap. It was blocky and poorly conceived. One of the reasons the rifle hasn't become more popular is because of zero aftermarket support and Bushmaster sucking at life. If they had made it the right way rather than cutting corners it would be much better received
With a lighter weight barrel and slicker rail the rifle would feel like a rifle and not a truck axle.
Not telling you how to run your company but if some parts and accessories came out to make the rifle more viable to the guys who have been holding off because of the rifles irreparable shortcomings it could breath new life into the platform.
Just my 2 cents
