It seems everyone handles some kind of accessory for most of the modern rifles except the ACR. How possible would it be for your company to produce any kind of accessories for this rifle in the future?

Is that rifle even made anymore? There is very little one ever hears about it anymore.

They are still made and would be very easy for you to make a rail for and have a monopoly on the aftermarket rail market for the platform!

[#7]
I guess I would qualify since I own this place. I am looking into if its worth the time and money I invest if I will ever get a return on my money. It is a cool platform but it doesnt seem to be going anywhere. thanks TROY MI |

[#8]
It's not going anywhere because no one has the aftermarket figured out and it's not a cheap rifle. It is modular and has great ergonomics. Try one I bet you will like it!
Please keep us in mind and keep us posted. There is an ACR forum that might give you an idea of how many are out in the wild and if people are interested... Thanks! |

... And I say this with all due respect:
For the love of all that is mighty! YOU MAKE A GALIL RAIL! The ACR handguard is very simple in design and wouldn't require half the tooling that other handguards would require. Seriously, could you address any reason not to produce this handguard? |
|
[#12]
You could probably poll at acrforum.com and get a feel for how many units you could sell. The price could even be a premium(to compinsate for lower numbers) because there are not many options out there. If you built something like your scar keymod rail i'm sure you could sell quite a few. Last I knew Bushmaster was still producing it.

I would buy another ACR in a heartbeat if you guys made a good lightweight rail for it.

In for the pre-order.
Keymod, with the same length/shape as the polymer handguard without rails... |
|
[#21]
There is no way a pre order on this site would even come close to covering what it would cost . If these are made it will be when I am ready to roll the dice . Like I said I will look into it . Thanks.

Thanks for at least checking this thread and looking into it...

I just placed and order for two of your SCAR open top FDE Keymod rails. If you make a FDE ACR Keymod rail I will have to send more money your way.

I liked my rifle when it was original, I just wanted a more personal effect to it. The major complaint right now are barrels and handguards. If they made those two, the weapon would sky rocket! |
|
[#28]
My biggest complaint which lead me to selling my acr was weight. They need to redo the upper to reduce the weight similar to the remington version. A better and lighter rail would help. So would available lighter weight barrels. The problem I found was that any custom work to make it more adaptable was going to cost a fortune. Instead, I traded it outright for a KAC SR15E3. I'd go for another if the right combos came together as the system is great. Bushmaster just dropped the ball.

Took my ACR for the first time in many months today...Damn it's heavy...I sure would like a nice light keymod handguard for it...
|
|
[#30]
I'd like a hand guard similar in design to the Remington ACR that doesn't cost $300.00 and isn't made in China.
Cheers |

[#31]
I'm in for ACR handguard .. Keep it light and same length as polymer one. The factory rail is way to short and heavy.
|
|
[#32]
I actually thought this thread would've been dead in the water. I'm glad there is still support out there, no matter how small.
|
|
[#33]
Just installed my two SCAR open top keymod forends.
PLEASE make a keymod handguard for the ACR (FDE preferred). There is a large percentage of owners who would kill for lightweight option. |

Maybe you all could drop this rail at SHOT 2015...and make a huge splash!

Sorry this will not be anything we will be making in the near future. We have a long list of new parts that are in process and will be run before this.
I am not saying never but for now its a no go. TROY MI |

Are we there yet?
Mlok version may be easier than keymod and maybe magpul could help... PLEASE! |

Guys
I have heard you . I have some big stuff we are working on. I will address this late in the year but right now i just dont have the machine time . You will all understand in the next 3-4 weeks. Good things coming TROY MI |

[#42]
Good things= the new HK rail?
This is a step in the right direction- a new rail for a gun that doesn't have much aftermarket support...I think you are onto something. |

Nice try. That is not the big surprise I was referring to
