I have had a deposit on a Stag 3GL since March 2nd from my local dealer. I called Stag customer service that day and was told they were about 4 weeks behind, not bad I thought. Well today is 8 weeks and of course no 3GL, so I called Stag customer service again. NOW THE REAL BAD NEWS. They told me that they have no Bolt Carriers to install because the last batch that was sent out for final treatment came back defective! They feel it will be up to 8 more weeks before production will begin on ANY LEFT-HANDED MODEL AR. To say the least I am very disappointed. I was very excited about getting the AR that I thought was perfect for what I wanted to use it for (some 3gun and target shooting at the local range). BTW, I looked into changing to a right hand 3G and was told another 7 weeks before they are available, about the same long wait. Might look into Rock River's new Left-Hand AR.

Called stag on 4/26 and was told the same thing. Called RRA and they are still waiting on barrels for their left handed rifles and could not tell me an expected shipping date. I then received shipping confirmation from Stag on 4/27. So who knows?

they told me 6-8 weeks when i order my 3GL upper last week. I wonder if the real reason is maybe they are supplying rock river with their lefty parts.

Just talked to stag and for a right hand model 2 they are saying 4-6. They dod say they got some bad left handed bcg. Right handed should be unaffected.

Received a response from Stag today regarding my 4/8 order:
"Unfortunately our most recent entire batch of left hand bolt carriers came back unusable from when we sent them out for processing. We need to obtain the raw material, manufacture more, send them out to processing, and start shipping them again. Currently we expect to start shipping left hand rifles and uppers again starting at the end of June. Customer Service Stag Arms " |

I wanted a model 2L myself, but I just bought a standard model 2, and it's worked out fine.
This is the biggest flop and PR blunder from Stag to even bother introducing a rifle that they will never have in stock. Why even waste your time, because if you have this much of a problem purchasing a complete rifle, imagine how much fun you'll have when you need parts. |

What do you mean? Until the recent buying rush/supply chain problem, there were plenty of L models to be had everywhere.
If you were talking about the 3G, maybe I'd understand, but this is nothing compared to what we're seeing everywhere else in black rifle land. Try finding a Spikes complete rifle of any model. Or a Larue. Check back in in 6 months when your order makes gets filled. |

A month ago, both of my local dealers said they hadn't seen left handed Stag in 5+ months.
And not to mention, if they were to be had everywhere, you can't find a single one now around here. And I doubt Stag makes many left handed uppers considering only a small amount of the population are left handed. |

I Contacted them a few weeks ago asking about the lead time on a lefty m-16 bolt carrier. They said it was on indefinite back order. Guess the demand for all parts is beyond above normal.

It has been over 5 months since I placed a deposit for a 3GL at my local dealer and still nothing has arrived. I am glad to see that jbw76 received his upper, at least someone got one. I have called Stag Arms customer service and have been told that they are shipping the 3GL.

Just to update, at over 6 months and still no 3GL. Customer service says they are shipping, but it looks like so few that they are not filling all of the orders around the country. Since they went 4 months without making anything left handed models that more effort would be made to fill what must be a huge backlog.

Found a 3GL, purchased from Pocono Mountain Sporting Goods in Pa. and shipped to my FFl. Stag is finally shipping left hand models but must be still way behind, dealer had ordered the 3Gl in January. My local dealer says he has no idea when the one he ordered in coming in to his distributor.

I ordered my Stag 3L with the plus pkg from a factory direct dealer in Sept. I was initially told 6-8 weeks but it came in about 4, which I thought was great considering its left handed and had the plus pkg added on.

I was told the same thing by a stag dealer off this site, I canceled and ordered a 3l directly from stag and called them up and was told it should arrive no later than two weeks |
