What kind, make and price was your forend grip? Want one that fits tight and will not loosen up. What is the best way for the grip to clamp on the rail, the bottom knob or the screws on the top?

Thanks,

This is what I use

If it ain't made by LaRue, it ain't. IMHO

Since you don't have a photo or model number I'll assume you have a rail of some kind.

If you have the standard hand guards, say on a model 2, then you can check some of the vendors on the site and find a strip that will attach to the hand guard. Then purchase the forend grip.

I have a Stag model 8. I do have a rail on the bottom of the hand guard and have a Harris Sling Swivel Stud Adapter for a bipod on the front of the rail. I still have 2" of rail on the rear of the rail for a grip of some kind.

My model 8 with Magpul's RVG (rail vertical grip). Cheap, sturdy, and more than fits the bill. I prefer the shortness of it as well.

I am also a Magpul junkie. Don't ask me why, I just love their stuff.

I use the MIAD grip with large back-strap for my fat hands to get a better trigger feel and grip overall, I also utilize their RVG. From what I have heard from friends who have had ARs long before me, Magpul stuff is quite reliable and functions well.

I use the D&L Sports Ar 15 Vertical Grip. It's pretty good but I'm still in the process of looking at others.
