Built this last year. All Stag parts minus the stock. I had originally bought the carbine stock and AR-15 tools when I was going to do a cheap build. However, I decided it would only cost a couple more bucks to do all Stag parts. Why go cheap when you can go Stag? Built the entire thing for $750. Now I just have to pull off that carry handle and get a nice optic.

Sweet set up dude. How do you like that CAA grip? I'm considering it for my 2T. Can you email me the high res shots? They'd make great desk top material. adrock1978@hotmail.com

I just got some black window mags too... I think I'm gonna clone your rig by getting the grips also. Hope you dont mind.

Excellent. I've probably asked both of you about them before, but it takes me so long to decide anything. Zero, were you at Cherry Ridge Range 2 or 3 weeks ago on a saturday? There was an ARf.commer there with CAA grips on his rig.

Isn't it the same rifle you have a pic at the start of page 1 of this section? (minus the grip-pod)

Now that's love.

Unless you're cursed with extremely short arms, it looks like most ofyou need to move those VFGs a little further from the magwell.
It will give you better control and you'll be able to pull the gun into your chest better.

When I'm shooting from a bench, I put the VFG out farther. Its easier to reach out. When I'm standing, I slide it in towards the mag, because it feels more natural. LaRue makes this easier.

Should be the other way around.
You'll shoot better offhand with the VFG out on your rail.
