In as far as the steel mags go, literally the only ones that I have that won't run in the gun are those shiny blued Yugo-pattern BHO mags. The rear locking tab sits too low, and pushes the back of the magazine too far up into the receiver. Not quite high enough to cause a double feed, but high enough that it wouldn't fire more than 3 rounds in a string without jamming.
Every other Euro pattern mag I've used in it has worked great. Bought a set of 10 painted Polish(?) mags from AIM not that long ago; 8 locked up and fed fine, one had too much paint on the top and had to be sanded to fit (there was actually so much paint it wouldn't fit in my AK, either!), and one had a ding on the inside of the mag that kept it from holding more than about 26-27 rounds, but it still fed all those fine.
So I'd say, in my experience it's good to go with anything other than the Yugo BHOs, which isn't really an issue because you don't usually run across those too often.
I will also say that literally the only magazine I've experienced mag lock with is the 30-round Magpul that comes with it; neither the Magpul 10-rounder I have nor any of the steel mags shows the same issue. I don't know if that's just something with the geometry of the Magpul's front lug or what.
I will say if I was putting mine together again I'd skip the Aimpoint and go right up to one of those TA33-C ACOGs with the green horseshoe & 7.62x39mm reticule, because this rifle is crazy accurate.
Oh well, maybe someday when I have more disposable income.
