My upper finally came yesterday. So, it's all done, except for the EOTech- unemployment struck before I could buy that. <_<
I tried to take all of the lessons and knowledge I've acquired by using the M-16/M-4 family in combat, and apply them to the "perfect" AR-15. This thing fits me like a glove. Specs: High Standard lower receiver Tactical Duostock on universal buffer tube with standard CAR buffer and spring CMMG 14.5" M4A1 SOCOM upper 1/7" twist, chrome lined MedCon barrel chambered for 5.56mm NATO, "F" marked FSB EGRESS bolt system Phantom 5C2 compensator/flash suppressor Polished and extended M4 feedramps KZ Tactical aluminum front grip with light rail and waterproof storage Midwest Industries BUIS Vltor endplate/sling attachment CowTown Shooters HK-style one point sling w/ quick disconnect Pictures:  |

It was/is a daniel defense 7.0 with some slight modifications

Here's a simple mid-length gas and rifle-length sights for 3-gun. Stock everything except a JP trigger. The barrel is a little heavy but should be fine.

16" midlength CMMG barrel that is my primary upper for my new CMMG 22LR conversion kit. The 12" Yankee Hill tube is a great match. Love this combination.
Trijicon Accupoint on LaRue mount.

Top rifle is a CMMG Lower and a 5.7 upper. Middle rifle is a CMMG 14.7" upper and a CMMG lower. Bottom is LMT upper and lower.

just got mine over the summer of 08. only thing i didnt like was the rear buis. they dont have zero marks. ill be changing out the front sight to a folding one as well and replace the rear with a new peep that has the zero marks. plan on an acog and a can when funds allow. last thing will be a durakote in multicam.

This is still a work in progress, but I wanted to share not only the lower, but my pleasure with the way things went during the building process.
When I originally ordered this on 1/23, I was told it was a 3-6 month MINIMUM wait. I ordered & was content to wait things out. 3/11, I get a call from my FFL that it's in...WTF??????????; it's not even the middle of march & its done! Suffice to say that I'm pleasantly suprrised at the turn-around-basically only 7 1/2 weeks compared to the quoted 3-6 months 
as this is my first AR, I want to go "all out", so I've basically loaded it up: Command Arms CBS Collapsible buttstock with adjustable cheek piece Command Arms G27 grip Ambi-selector KNS anti-roll hammer & trigger pins Still coming: CMMG (who else?) upper (will order 3/18) - will have FF quad rail EOtech 3x.FTS magnifier Parts on hand to add to it when upper comes in: EOtech 512.A65 YHM Diamondhead BUIS Grippod Daniel Defense offset light mount Blackhawk Falcata 9v tac. light GG&G sling thing for dovetails with QD swivel CAA QD swivel for mounting on buttstock BFG combat applications padded sling 20 windowed P-mags with raner floor plates TD rail covers
