Hey Bright, is the X2 vs the X3 really seem double the brightness? Also can you post pics of the mounts you carry for the AR with a rail system. Thanks
|

|
No, you won't see double the performance, you'll generally witness an approx. 20-25% gain in intensity, better flood an range can vary approx. 20-30%. I'll try to post all the mount pics asap tomorrow. |

If you want LED for defensive/tactical use the L2-3w LED is an incredible value & terrific performer. |

I see you show the L2 as an LED option. Can you mount the L3 and do you have any prices on a L3 kit?
|
|
|
Yes, the L3-HA is available, the upgrade price would be $51.00 over the std. X2-HA kit pricing. The L3-HA alone is $127.50 plus an add'l set of batteries free.

Well after looking at the specs it apears that its only 10 lumens more than the L2. Is there any benefit you see of using it as a weapons mounted light other than the extended run time over the L2? 50 bucks is a lot of money for 10 lumens and runtime that probably wont be used.
Thanks |
|
|
Aside from the battery runtime the L3 only offers more flood. Due to size & cost, the L2 would get my vote.

Calvin, what would you reccomend for home defense, the X2 or the L2? Because I have seen a Gladius adn although it is supposed to be 80 lumens, it did not look as bright as a G2...so that has made me somewhat weary of LEDs?...
|
|
"A great revolution is never the fault of the people, but of the government."
--Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe |
The L2 and Gladius both do an excellent job but do have less flood than an incandascent rival like the X2, G2, 6P, etc. Also, unless you were comparing the lights in complete darkness the test might ne be fair. If there is significant ambient light an LED's beam will suffer from a washout effect. Either light is suitable for CQB, though the L2 may have a bit less flood I believe you would like its performance. |

Would the X3 be sufficient for CQB/home defense? Is it the highest lumen output of the others listed on page 1. What is the price of the tapeswitch. Total price for the X3 + offset mount w/ and w/o the tapeswitch. Thanks, hope to order soon.

Can you post a pick of the Thumbscrew mount??

Here's the thumbscrew ring mount we like to use for most light setups - Middle ring Orders placed by 1pm EST usually ship that same day (98.5% of the time). We primarily ship via USPS Priority Mail (2-4 day delivery) on all order weighing over 14 ozs. Small and inexpensive items usually go out First Class. On the package deals, they ship via Priority. If you need special arrangements such as FedEx or UPS we can do that also but need to know by 3:30pm EST of that day. |

The most impressive product I have seen for under 100 bucks. It took 3 days to get here over the weekend, so in my opinion Brightflashlights is the only game in town for Pentagon flashlights.
I'll post pics later, the X3 is impressive! |

Just wanted to say that I ordered a Pentagon L2 LED light, tapeswitch, and mounting kit for a shotgun from Calvin to put on my Mossberg 590. His service was great, he helped me out a lot, prices were great, and shipping was fast.
The light was really easy to install on my Mossberg and it's working great. I am very satisfied. |

Got my L2 the other day. I am VERY impressed.
I ordered mine with the 1" thumbscrew ringmount. Will that mount on to a picatinny rail or a weaver rail or both? I was thinking about buying this and mounting the light on one side and leaving the other side for a laser, later on. Will the ringmount I bought be compatible with that base? |

It will work with both a picatinny & weaver rail as well as the mount you have linked. Thanks. |
