Now will this be well if you're constantly putting rounds downrange? I heard lighter barrels won't do as well than a Gov barrel or an hbr for this situation

What you're saying is true -- to a degree. It depends on volume of fire. Prolonged fire with use of suppressors is one of the reasons why SOF started using the SOCOM profile barrels for the Block IIs. The heavier profile mitigates suppressor droop. SOCOM profile below:
Below is a Government profile barrel. The barrel prior to the gas block is thin, essentially almost lightweight contour -- then becomes thicker towards the end of the barrel. In my humble opinion, this extra thickness at the end of the barrel is of very little value.
Looking at barrels that have been shot to failure, the barrel before the gas block tends to always fail before the end of the barrel does. To me, the extra weight at the end does nothing to benefit me -- if I want thicker, I want a barrel that has more of a constant profile, like a Noveske CHF CL.
I, personally, would only want a heavier profile with suppressed select fire or precision guns. I mostly use a SR-15 Mod 2. It has a relatively light/medium barrel. I run the gun predominantly suppressed. It has gone to classes where it was fed a diet of about 2000 rounds in a couple days. Even when it's hot after doing lots of firing, the gun can still consistently hit man sized targets out to 300 yards.
I don't think the lighter contour will be an issue for your needs. Ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain.
