Judging by the constant stream of comments on this thread, maybe not so much excitement Personally, I'm 300 Blackout fan but then I like SBRs and suppressors. |

I was just thinking about BCM and .300 BLK the other day. I hope to be building my first upper in the next few weeks. I love the idea of a huge .30 cal subsonic pill being thrown out of a 8" barrel. .300 BLK was designed for short barrels and cans; both of which I'm a big fan of.

Did some searching and didn't find any recent news. Does anyone have a guess when this will be out? Next year?

They have shooting samples out in people's hands (Proctor, Way of the Gun Youtube video). Well, "special" people's hands.

Late October is best ETA.
9", 12.5", and 16" Thanks for your interest! |

I'm in on a niner. Can you say what upper configs you will be offering? Any with a FSB?

Regarding the profiles, all will follow our enhanced design.
Continuous taper designed for optimal weight, balance, and performance. Fluted profile toward the rear near chamber area - Increases strength and heat dissipation. Tapered profile out front, for easier maneuverability. No sharp handguard cap shoulder for improved barrel harmonics and improved accuracy. Muzzle threaded in standard 30 cal (5/8x24) Regarding the upper configs, 4 planned right now: KMR-A7 with a 9" barrel KMR-A8 with a 9" barrel KMR-A10 with 12.5" barrel KMR-A13 with a 16" barrel. Thanks! |

Just curious, any planned with other rail systems? Other barrel lengths in the future? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ok, next question. Are the muzzle devices permanently installed or just pinned to remove for suppressor? Any chance you are working on a muzzle device that works as an attachment point for a suppressor?

They come with BCM 762/300 Comp Mod 1. Not working on any other muzzle devices at this time. Thanks! |

Ok, thank you for that reply. Just made my decision a little harder. Any chance I can convince you guys to design a good quad rail (similar to the DDM4 rail system) for the 9" barrel? I'm not quite sold on the KMR.....at least yet.

Just got an email saying the 9" barrel upper with 8" KMR-A rail was in stock, and got one ordered. Anyone else?

Well, hopefully as an idea you've looked into making it mate up like the KMR system. Otherwise I might have to buy another upper with the quad (we will see when my upper comes in with the KMR-A) |

If it does come out please let it use the same barrel nut and mounting system for those of us with 14.5 perm attached uppers. |

Is there enough space for a muzzle device with suppressor mounted in this configuration? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Stick, so do you think there would be clearance issues with a Specwar ASR mount? Might be hard to lock/unlock the locking ring on the can?

How close is anyone to getting one? Mine says it is halfway across my state and will be at my doorstep by close of business tomorrow. Shipped out veterans day, not bad considering Wisconsin to Nebraska.

Mine's on the way; should be here Monday. I plan on using an AAC SDN-6 with mine; hope I won't have any mounting issues with the 8" KMR-A and 9" barrel.

Me, for now (trying to save up to go to Germany AND buy guns doesn't work that great). I still need to get that lower, the iron sights and red dot (going to go get those now, since payday was yesterday). I must ask though as this was my first BCM purchase, do they always throw in that much freebies? I got like 4 posters, a hat, calendar, 2 DVD's stickers, a magazine, a couple teaser magazine articles (of course about BCM products) and what I assume are playing cards (says training cards from tricon). I must say, when I opened the package I was impressed, and as soon as I could took the upper off my Bushmaster AR (my first rifle, so I can't get rid of it) and popped on this upper, I am in love. Glad I waited a year looking into 300 BLK and studied the round. After putting my hands on the KMR, I am even more willing to accept it, though it still feels weird (I am used to quad rails of my issued rifle). I do want to ask BCM though, what was the thinking behind building them to use an H3 buffer for HV ammo and an H buffer for subs? |

Going to have to swap the 8" KMR for a 7" to mount the SDN-6...not enough clearance with the 8". This is what I get for staying out on the bleeding edge of technology... |

I thought running a suppressor usually meant you wanted to run a heavier buffer. Am I misunderstanding this? |

I thought running a suppressor usually meant you wanted to run a heavier buffer. Am I misunderstanding this? Without a suppressor: HV ammo, recommend H3 Subsonic ammo, recommend standard carbine With a suppressor, probably should go a bit heavier, but results will vary with ammo and suppressor type. In our testing the 300 BLK rifles ran any ammo we tested with it, and with any buffer. But our recommendations were for "optimal" cycle rate. Shooter may want to have extra buffers to tweak if needed. The ammo in the commercial market varies greatly. Thanks! |
