Big props on this one, just got my ranger green one today. Aces job on the design, USMC03. It's light, feels a lot like old school vietnam web gear, only it's molle. A return to simple concept.

I got mine in the mail yesterday, looks great, looks like a very well put together piece of gear. Can't wait to load up some mags and put it through some drills. I was looking at getting a bladder for the hydro-carrier, I wouldn't normally think that I would even need it, but since the rig came with the carrier, I might as well outfit it with the bladder. I found a website that sells the Camelbak bladders, but the tube doesn't look nearly long enough. Will this one work??

I just received one of those from SKD. I dropped it into the carrier on the back of my vest and the tube hangs to about mid chest. Should be plenty long enough. The tube shown was probably shortened/shopped to clean up the photo.

Go ahead and order the bite valve cover too. Only $5 and it keeps the crud off.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Al,

The hydration pouch was designed to accept most 100 oz / 3 liter bladders.
We kept the hydro pouch as low profile as possible.

Two common problems I see when a bladder doesn't fit the hydration pouch is:

1) The user is trying to over fill the bladder. The bladder is designed to be filled to the bottom of the mouth. Some guys will hold the mouth of the bladder horizontal and try to get as much water into the bladder as possible, by doing this you will over fill the bladder and it won't fit in the hydro pouch.
To properly fill the bladder, hold the top of the bladder and fill the bladder until the water is at the bottom of the mouth.

2) Often times guys will hold the top of the bladder and try to insert the bladder into the pouch vertically. Keep in mind that the bladder is plyable, and if you hold the bladder at the top all the water pools at the bottom of the bladder and bottom of the bladder will be larger than the top of the bladder.
If you lay the full bladder and the hydration carrier on a table (or any horizontal flat surface) and insert the bladder into the hydro pouch horizontally, you shouldn't have a problem getting the bladder into the hydro carrier because the bladder will be flatter on a flat horizontal surface (ie. the water will evenly fill the bladder from top to bottom when the bladder is laying on a flat horizontal surface).

Another option is to put the empty bladder in the hydro carrier and fill the bladder while it's inside the hydro carrier.

I use a 100 oz camel back bladder in my BCM 03 MSF's

Hope this helps

Take care and be safe
