Just wanting to see if this could be done by you guys. I've got a 14.5" Colt M4 barrel that I was planning on swapping out for a lighter barrel.
My question is, can you guys re-profile an M4 barrel to roughly the same size as a BA Hanson barrel? Basically, the area from the barrel nut to gas block seat would stay the same. The gas block seat area would be turned down to .625 and the gas block shoulder would be removed. The gas block seat would also be shortened just enough to fit a LPGB. Then everything forward of that would be re-profiled to a pencil profile (or something close to it).
It looks like this.
I only ask because my current Colt barrel only has 500 or so rounds through it and I'll be sending it to you guys anyway to have the muzzle device pinned and welded. Figured it would probably save me some dough just going this route if it's doable.
