Sorry should have clarified:

We were talking about here. For the record, I am happy but I have gotten a few IMs asking for clarification on the topic from others looking to have their barrels cut down.

Take any 10 barrels from any 10 manufacturers, and you will find that 9 of them are NOT the advertised length. I've seen more colts than I can count, be 1/16" too short, and more DD barrels that I can count be 1/8" too long. Most customers assume their 14.5" barrel is actually 14.5" then send is actually 14.7". If we measure from the muzzle, and chop off 2", we cut it too long. The next day, ff we measure from the boltface, we cut too short. If you give us a length of 10.3, it will be within 10.380 or 10.300. To who that would matter outside picture threads taken under a 8X zoom macro setting, I don't know?
The best advice I can give for those who are more concerned with how the finish product looks after being assembled is to mark the barrel where they want the shoulder. Wrap a piece of tape around the barrel where you want the shoulder. With the barrel marked, we can easily cut it exactly where you had it marked.
