Remember, as per Mr. Beard and Magpul Announcement, all colored PMAGs would be discontinued by year end 2014. Wouldn't that mean production as well? Regardless, guess they decided to continue making them well into 2015. One Foliage PMAG I just bought has a November 2015 production code on it. I pointed out their discrepancy at this link: G2 PMAGs – Colored ones apparently NOT discontinued?Magpul has been silent. They could have said something like, oh sorry, we decided to continue making them for another year even though we said 2014 was it. So no big hurry to rush out and buy a bunch of our colored PMAGs... Nope! Nothing! Silent! Then earlier this month, 12/9/15, I ordered MAG571-FOL from Quantico Tactical. They e-mailed the next day and told me, "MAG571-FOL is now sold out and has been discontinued by the manufacturer, so we can no longer acquire it". So who knows for sure but it finally appears the end is near. As one can probably tell, I'm rather annoyed with Magpul. That they'd first discontinue all colored PMAGs in the first place and then play silly games with the consumers. A rather odd chess move if you ask me. Yet, still, I remain a big Magpul fan and will continue to buy their junk. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quote History Quoted:Quoted:Quoted:
According to Magpul, moving ahead, all PMAGs will be black ONLY. Foliage, Flat Dark Earth and Olive Drab are said to be out of production. When current inventories are dried up, they're gone. Can you link to where Magpul themselves said this? I can't believe they'd stop making mags in FDE & OD. If they continue making the furniture in those colors, why would it be hard to continue the mags as well? Sure! Do you want the short story or the long one? How about long... Also, based on demand and to maintain consistency across our line of magazine products, all non-black MOE magazine color options will be discontinued by the end of 2014." "To clarify, sometime before the end of the year we will:
- Discontinue Foliage Green in ALL products.
- Discontinue all non-Black colors (FDE, FOL, ODG) in the MAG570/571 GEN M2 MOE PMAGs. Basically, all of our magazines models will be available in Black only.
However, all those SKUs are still viable and in production at the moment to allow Consumers time to purchase what they need.

Yet, still, I remain a big Magpul fan and will continue to buy their junk. Thanks. Can't believe I've missed all this. I guess that's what I get for not getting on arfcom sooner. It's disappointing; like you, I'm a big Magpul fan. All I've bought for quite a while are OD Green PMags and I was thinking about buying a case of 100 M3's in OD, but that's obviously not going to happen. I still love all my other Magpul stuff; MOE forends, MIAD grips, MOE/CTR stocks, MS4 slings, mags, Dynamics vids, iPhone cases, armorer's wrench, bev block, ...even replaced the followers in my aluminum mags with Magpul. If all I can get is black, I don't know if I'll stick with them or maybe for mags I'll just go back to buying HK SA80's.
