Looks great. Nice ad too.
ETA: That fixed stock with detachable cheek-risers is just what I wanted to see. The only thing I think is missing, is QD sling points on the receiver end for single-point slings. |
That Zhukov stock looks AWESOME. Finally, a good stock that takes risers.
LOVE THE AD! Shot show is going to hurt my wallet this year for sure
Any plans to release any legacy items in the plum color as well, or will that be unique to the AK line only?
That triangle stock and those handguards look sick. Makes me want to get an Ak again. Bravo guy's
finally, a handguard with better ergos than the factory plastic, with no modification needed to the rifle. I am looking forward to the MOE handguard!
I've got a Saiga with an ACE internal stock adapter (rear tang has been cut off). Can either of these stocks be mounted using just the internal screw hole?
Looks great, BTW. Been waiting for this for a long time! |
Is the Zhukov handguard strong/stable enough to hold zero for IR lasers?
What's the measured length of the stocks? From end of receiver to buttpad..
Will the new furniture fit Yugo style rifles?
Will the Zhukov folding stock require removal if the tang? |

So what's the benefit of the zhukov handguard over the MOE one? View Quote |

Obviously having hands on could completely change my though process but from my perspective I don't really see a point. |
longer reach for the long armed people and less barrel to burn yourself on? I'll admit, I did that with my first AK when I was used to longer hand guards / rail systems on my ARs.
aLways wanted an ak47.
Guess I should buy one before these are released because prices will jump up after that |
if you wait, maybe Yugo's will drop until Magpul releases products for them.
Never really wanted an AK...........but I think this just made me rethink that

Obviously having hands on could completely change my though process but from my perspective I don't really see a point. Why does it need a rail on top to be used for a more forward grip? You don't *have* to c-clamp it. Point being, there is a use there...just maybe not for every single shooter. There also appear to be mlok slots out front, so attaching a light closer to the front could be done via the handguard rather than the barrel. |
Grab an AK and try the C clamp, your thumb will block the factory sights. Personally I'd just use that long reach to put a vfg a little further forward to keep it from interfering with mag changes without chopping it really short.
I think both of you guys misunderstood me.... I mean a rail for optics that's all. And no I don't shoot my AK with the "C-clamp" grip. In fact I don't shoot any of my rifles likes that. The point that I was trying to make is why spend the extra money for the Zhukov handguard when you could just get an MOE handguard for much cheaper because the only benefit the Zhukov has is it's longer (Which isn't that important, I don't think I was clear enough on that when I first tried to make my point).
I am pretty tall and have long arms as a consequence so for me the Zhukov would be a must.

View Quote You're right, I did misunderstand you...sorry. I still see some value in the longer handguard. It's good to have options, especially when you can forgo unneeded features to save money. My only concern with the Zhukov handguard is the weight. Seems like an AK with the Z stock and handguard plus some kind of optic mounting solution along with a RDS and light might get kind of heavy. |

I'm interested in the plum color. Any way we ca see the plum colors?? Also I hope there's plans for some 5.45 mags in the works
Looks great I plan on a full set of the plum, is there any eta on when the plum will be hitting the retailers??
Hope this fits my MAK90!
Super glad I never cut off the tang now. |
I'm no expert but I'd think, just a standard rear trunnion would work just fine. Either Russian or Bulgarian should do with a standard tang.

Which particular part?
Generally speaking: Stocks fit standard pattern stamped guns with the two-hole stock tang MOE AKM Hand Guards fit standard AKM pattern stamped-dimension guns with the sling loop on the front hand guard retainer. MOE AK Hand Guards fit standard AK pattern stamped-dimension guns with the sling loop on the gas block, guns with no sling loop at all, or guns with the front hand retainer sling loop cut off. Zhukov Hand Guards are the most forgiving for fitment, and fit stamped and milled AKs with 16.75-18.25mm barrel diameters. It will require total removal of the front hand guard retainer. |
So the moe hand guard will fit a standard draco with a ultimak b1 gastube? Same question for a arsenal 410 and arsenal 106?
