I am probably the only one who could do this but I am not too sure my memory or record keeping back then will give any more than rough numbers.
Editions released.
M93 Experimental -About 100 released marked experimental on the buffer tube
M93 (Mostly black but 100 stocks were down in desert tan for USMC DET1 - These were replaced with M93-Rs and the original 100 stocks sold as collectors items.
M93-R (USMC DET1 Second issue) -These had large reinforced tail bracket and replaced the original M93 DET stocks. Unknown what happened to these We had two of the overruns in the back at some point
M93A- small metal tail piece bracket. (Probably less than 600 made)
M93B (most common) Smooth sides and QD mount added to tail bracket. (probably less than 2000 made)
Fun fact is the entire M93 stock was designed in Adobe illustrator as a 2D elevation drawing. This information was transferred directly to Master Cam to be cut into steel molds. As such no 3D files ever existed for the stock.
Another fun fact is that the buffer tubes had to be transported to 6 different locations to be manufactured making it a nightmare for large production.
The biggest legacy of the M93 though has to be the round disc pivot point that is a focal point of the stock. That effort to "celebrate the pivot point" drew the attention of a Denver freelance designer, Mike Mayberry, who in 2003 contacted me about doing some freelance industrial design work based upon the stocks design. This partnership was the foundation of what Magpul is today and directly created designs such as CTR, UBR, PRS, MIAD, USGI Follower and the original PMag.
