Been waiting on SL for mid length and to hear they made it for round caps...foghetabboudit. how didn't their designers know that triangular caps are on 90% of the factory mid length uppers? They're getting as bad as architects at maintaining standards.

Seriously, I don't think I could work in this industry. Like, I don't think I could design parts just to have people whine and complain about having to punch out two pins and swap a 6 dollar cap.
yes, my CMMG Kino barrel came with a triangular cap. Being a Man, I had a hammer, an appropriately sized punch, and a block of wood. It took longer to mount the handguards (MFers are TIGHT) than it did to remove my muzzle device, punch out the pins, drive off the FSB, swap the cap, and reverse.
Magpul wanted them nice and narrow and the triangular cap is big and fat. The molds, I'm certain, spawn from the carbine length handguards which have been out for ever, so reducto ad fellatio, they're gonna be the same because no freakin' way Magpul is gonna engineer new molds just to satisfy a small subset of an already pretty small market.
Seriously, ask some of you guys to use tools like a primate and you're like
edit: you dudes with pinned and welded muzzle devices, I mean, yeah that sucks life ain't fair bro.
