If they come out with a .223 mag that works with a SLR-106 - I'll buy a SLR-106

I would like to see an AK Collapsible stock similar in function to the one they make for the ACR.

We have a whole bunch of interesting items that will be released at SHOT 2015, and some very interesting ones before then, as well. Staying somewhat tight-lipped until release, though. The counterfeiters are fast these days. View Quote Here it is almost Dec and nothing new. Guess the shot show |

Oooooooo, here's a thought. A nice light weight triangle stock, with the ACE bolt pattern. Couple of blank QD spots and sling slots. Kind of a larger flatter MOE stock. Using the Magpul butt-pads. Being it's a universal (Ace stock) mount, it could fit pretty much any rifle and not have the buffer tube requirement.

We've been shooting the offerings for a while now, so they are very real, and very much in their near final form, but we always appreciate additional input.

Very much looking forward to this. Lets bring the AK up a few notches in the ergo department :) Especially mine.

Being "SHOT SHOW" is only 1 month away, can you tell us if the "AK Gen/M3 Pmags" are still on schedule??
Rumor was circulation a month or so back that the "TothTool" mags that have been made (although, made in house and have only had one run) sent magpul back into the "R&D" stage to outdue the "TothTool" mag but hopefully you guys already have a solid product that will be available from distributors at the exact time that the "AK Gen 1" Pmag came out last year (the week of ShotShow!!) I know people keep asking, but it's to know if we need to be saving up for these bad boys if they are coming out in 1 month!!! Hope we get a response from you guys at "Magpul".. WE CANNOT WAIT FOR THESE MAGS!!! THANKS for the great products!! |

I need a set of handguards and a stock to go with my grip and mag please. OD if you don't mind.

View Quote It takes a while to sort out inserts, even for us, especially when you're talking about a thick steel front spine and trunnion engagement lug insert (very important for butt first drops, woodpeckering inside, etc.) as well as a solid steel rear tab. We've been testing and tweaking and when it's up to our standards, I'll be the first one rushing them out the door. I can tell you that the rear tab is pretty much completely indestructible so far. We should have some to look at during SHOT, and we'll be shipping before too long after. The problem is that tweaks with the inserts takes some time, which was why the MOE came first for the geometry. It's on the way, it will be worth the wait, and it will be priced very attractively. |

This will be a very interesting SHOT show for the AK and Magpul. That is all.

I hope whatever AK stuff they release will work on milled receivers as well

Not that many 5.56 ak's and each rifle seems to have its own proprietary magazine. I should have bought more beryl mags and bulgarian mags are way too expensive. |

As much as it sucked to hear that the "AK Gen2 Pmag" likely WILL NOT be available this month, its very good to know that they are taking the extra time to make it near perfect the first time.
Magpul does INDEED do extensive testing so I take his word when he says the rear tab is nearly "Indestructible". The fact they will be priced nicely also, its worth the wait. Most of mine will just be put up anyway so gives me something to look forward to for longer. lol I can almost guarantee they will have an "AK Hand guard"....That will be the "Bee's Knee's". Although a Good "Aluminum Handguard Set" Like the Midwest Industries ones with Magpul's twist/look would be a HIT!!! Especially if a little cheaper!! Even if it is polymer like the "Arsenal/Kvar Handguard Sets" with a cool Magpul look to it. Lots of $$ to be made in the AK world with Magpul's reputation!! The AK74 (5.45) guys are throwing fits that there getting left out so keep them i mind in the future. Maybe a Gen 1 5.45 Pmag would hold em over!! Although that would take new Geometry/Specs for that so understandable if that takes time, then the more rare 556 AK guys are gonna want one (556 AK mags are super hard to find so that's a hands down money making product automatically to be 100% honest.) Thanks Magpul for focusing on the AK, just when I though I wanted my AKs a certain way, here comes Magpul with awesome/tempting stuff. I quit buying aftermarket furniture because it wouldnt fit right, I know you guys do things the right way though!!! Looking forward to seeing some products at SHOT!!! |

This is because AKs have been produced in 100ish countries, all with slightly different specs. Magpul has addressed this issue so will likely make contact points/reciever interface points on the large side to allow the end user to trim as needed. This would be much more economical on thier part than to have molds for each variant on the market. OR they could focus only one one or two variants. Milspec v. commercial buffer tubes. Think of how many customers bought the wrong stock due to not knowing the difference, clicking a wrong box, or a shipping depo error and pitched a fit when it was either way too tight or loose. |

We went further than that. Our proprietary stock interface has some neat features that make fitting incredibly easy, if necessary at all, and you probably don't even need tools except a hex wrench to do it.
Solid as a rock with no fitting apart from pushing it in and tightening it down on dozens of test receivers from different countries, companies, arsenals, etc. Still...there's a lot of variance out there, so it may not be 100% plug and play...but it's pretty close. |

I've been dying to buy an AK.....
......if Magpul makes a halway decent, affordable handguard and/or buttstock (i am also cool with the VLTOR tube with MP stocks), then i'll be purchasing one of those damn commie guns |

I better get my CC paid off! Might have to go on a buying spree with Magpul soon!

I'm in for a polymer handguard set.

What is the overall length of the Zhukov extended handguard? I have a Hellpup SBR with an 11.5" barrel and I'm not sure if that handguard would be too long or too short.

I haven't had an ak for years. It never really worked for me. I hated the grip. didn't like adding ar style accessories to the gun. Still don't care for the sights. Now you guys come out with these cool ak mods. Thanks.
Any idea on an eta for ordering the new stuff? I know this is before shot show and all, but you guys have had stuff to market before pretty quickly when having had announced something. Joe |
