Or they could just bring the unimog and destroy the trails to the range... I'd be happy with that.

I'd buy a shit load of CW/Peep mags just because....awesome. Come on. Do it. |

Figure it would cost Magpul some where around 50k by the time you figured new molds, employee time, and everything else. Maybe they could get by for 40k, but I don't see that being a winning way to do things for selling a couple hundred PMAGs. How many people competed in the last race? View Quote S&W got custom mags, and they sell like twenty, maybe thirty rifles a year. Tops, right? Joking aside, it would cost considerably less to just do a run of yellow with an existing mold. How many is in a run? A thousand or two, maybe? I guess it depends what quantity you need to buy the dye in, which I don't know. The bigger problem is likely the concern over reselling and hawking the things as collectors items. I know people have sold the blue ones for $100 ea or even more. Just to address that, reselling Cola Warrior merch/prizes carries a penalty of a permaban here on ARF and lifetime ban from future CW events. All the competitors know that if we no longer want something for whatever reason, you send it back to the manufacturer. That hasn't been an issue yet, and I doubt it ever will be. I think everyone here understands it would be a hassle. Especially as the company struggles to replenish stock and deal with the political uncertainty that's going on, the possible move, and whatever else... It could be this is more of a "maybe next year" thing. Nobody wants to cause anybody any problems, it's mostly just a bit of fun. Which isn't to say we're not serious. We are. We'll buy a really stupid number of these things. Plus, I have to imagine somebody over there is getting a good laugh out of this, even if they're not allowed to admit it. |

I wish Magpul would do white mags so that they can be dyed any color you want. Want yellow for your event? Dye some.
Put a production code on them that implies no warranty if dyed another color. |

The entire mold has to be dissembled and we have some other logo mags in the pipeline. The easier (and probably less cost) way would be to take blank mags and laser them with the logo. |
