Close if it's a dupe
But here in Southern AZ, there seems to be an increase in FAKE PMAGS: http://tucson.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/17-pmags-1700/21111517 Real Pmags have 3 circle mold stamps on them. The fakes have 2 little circle mold stamps. Everything else appears to be the same. Will |

First I've heard of this. There has GOT to be a way to tell the difference. Does anyone have one of these that can do a side by side comparison for everyone?

Chinese always faking stuff. Maybe if all the companies sue China for copy right infringement we can pay off our debt to them.

He brought them back from where? If he imported them from China he broke more laws than I care to think of.
Are these actually MOE's? I can't figure out what he means as all of my PMAG's only have two small circle date stamps. Are they PTS and the guy is a ditz? The only other mold stamps I can think of are early Gen II's that didn't have the NSN stamp. The Korean fakes are obviously not Magpul, and differ enough I don't know that Magpul could pursue them legally. The ProMags aren't marked Magpul and are obvious crap just picking them up. |

I was wondering if these existed, sad to know they do. This is why I avoid buying anything Magpul related that isn't recognized by Magpul or ARFCOM. Avoid Amazon and Ebay for Magpul. I got burned with a counterfeit buying a Magpul sling on Amazon.

Think I saw 2 of these today at the gun show. I saw them and thought hey PMAGs, but then I looked closer and they did not say pmag anywhere on them. They were also way over priced.

Here's another:
http://tucson.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/17-pmags-900/21111517 I bought a bunch of Pmags for $5.59. These are CHINESE knock offs. They had a whole pallet. I bought these to help people who want them but dont want to pay a crazy price. I marked them up enough to cover taxes and maybe fuel. This should serve those gougers right. $9.00 each or 2 for $17.00. They look and feel like the original. You cannot tell them apart.

It is not just mags , I was on vacation last May ans saw a chicom knock off rear sights . The guy had a box of them for $9 each. Circle logo was not the magpul logo.

I bought 15 Pmags before all of the panic stuff happened. All 15 of them only have 2 circle stampings, as do the 4 I owned 8 months ago.
I'm not so sure your statement that 3 circle stamps is genuine and 2 are fake is quite accurate. Just to show an illustration, mine were all purchased from 44mag.com and are exactly like this with 2 circle stamps as shown in this picture. ![]() |
