Thanks to FromMyColdDeadHand for helping me with pics over this last series of classes (both running his camera and post processing pics ... it's a lot of work). I greatly appriciate all the time and effort, Brother!

Not the bunnies!
Oh, the humanity! Nice pics, thanks for sharing them. Must be a pretty good camera set-up to catch the casings from double taps floating to the ground. |

It's the skill of the shooter behind the gun, not the camera. Never has my flinch helped me get so many pics- I'll be shooting low and left the rest of my life. I found pistol pics not that hard, the brass kind of 'rains' down pretty slow. I used a Canon 5DmkII with a 70-200/2.8IS for almost all these shots. The manual says the shutter delay is about 73ms, so that helps in timing the shots. I don't think most P&S cameras would let you capture the decisive moment as consistantly. Rifles are a lot harder, for me. JP uppers with the light BCGs are almost impossible for me to catch brass in a tight shot. Those suckers cycle and move brass FAST.

Mark is a solid shooter, great dude, and life of the party ... rockin' out with either Costa's or Travis' pistol (if memory serves me correctly):
Ninja fast ... note the brass that is still in the air to the right of the target to the right:
A little 1911 action:

Great pics as usual USMC03. I can't wait to attend one of these courses.
Sorry, but I couldn't resist the pose in this pic and had to make this in paint. ![]()

Yeah, I love that pistol! Finest firearm I've ever handled.
A LOT of mag changes though.... |
