"The special pricing on Smith and Wesson Pistols in this ad is limited to Military (Active, Reserve or Retired)"

Does that discount apply to medically retired/ disabled vets? I sent an email to the company, but never got a reply.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will be making that call soon.

EDIT: Just called and was told medically retired/ disabled vets don't qualify. Oh well, I had to ask.

Medically Retired/Service Disabled Vets do in fact qualify for the program. It says so on the rebate form. However a copy of your .gov issued ID card (which is issued to Medically Retired Personnel) must be provided to our customer service in order to buy a Smith and Wesson from us. We are a S&W MIL/LEO dealer and are contractually obligated to sell only to qualifying individuals/units/agencies.

I'm sorry for the confusion. Give me a call at 910-944-5800. Ask for Jason.

As long as you possess qualifying credentials we can get you squared away. A copy of an LES will also suffice.

I saw it specifically said disabled vets on the rebate form for S&W and that is not my concern. When I called yesterday I was told I do not qualify for Quantico pricing because I do not have a retirement card, but from what I am reading online, I am qualified. I guess I need to look into why I never got a card.

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/theorderlyroom/a/medseparation_2.htm

"Permanent disability retirement. Permanent disability retirement occurs if the member is found unfit, the disability is determined permanent and stable and rated at a minimum of 30%, or the member has 20 years of military service (For Reserve Component members, this means at least 7200 retirement points). "

I am currently 80% disabled and have all my paperwork. I guess I need to make a trip to my local VA and get this sorted. Jason, I want to appreciate your time in this matter and your quick replies. I will call you directly when I get this sorted out.

Mike.
