So I have read a lot here on AR15.com. In general I have been a snob when it comes to AR parts. In generally would buy my LPK's from Specialized Armament, because I know Ken would only sell Colt parts. My lowers are limited to Noveske, Mega, Colt, LMT, one Double Diamond, one LaRue, and SLR. I have also helped a couple of friends build some lowers as I have all the tools necessary. I have used some DelTon LPK's on some of my friends lowers (their purchases), and I always seem to have some issues, but nothing serious.
So, I needed a pair of LPK's to finish a pair of lowers for myself. In this case a pair of Noveske's. So I purchased a pair of DelTon LPK's as that is all the local dealer (Turners Outdoorsman Torrance Ca.) had. As I stated above, I read Ar15.com often, and I felt the minor problems with the fitment of DelTon parts was just that, minor fitment issues. I decided to purchase with confidence.
While using a "C" clamp to push a roll pin through the trigger guard the receiving end of a Noveske reciever snapped off. The roll pin was too big.
Thanks DelTon!
Tldr: DelTon parts are out of spec and cost me a Noveske receiver.
