Just wondering if they ever worked anything out with you with the shipping costs? I recently bought a Del-ton Bandit from Buds & everything looked okay while at FFL except that the magazine didn't fall freely. This being my first AR, I decided to call the Del-ton BEFORE leaving to see if this was normal (since once you accept the rifle, its no longer Buds responsibility). Del-ton told me that at times there may be a "break in period" for the mag to fall freely and for me to "practice inserting/ejecting the mag" in an attempt to break it in quicker.. So I took the thing home, did this like 30-40 times A DAY, STILL no change. So by the 4th day, figured maybe it was the magazine (30 rd Pmag) so went out & bought 2 different magazines, a CPD & EMag. Tried both with no change. Called Buds and they said most likely the Mag Well was shaved couple thousandths too small, but there was nothing more they could do since I accepted the transfer. So I called Del-ton and they told me to write them an e-mail explaining what exactly was wrong & that they would issue me an RMA. Thing is, I don't think I should have to pay for shipping since I thought there was something wrong with it @FFL & they said it wasn't a problem.
When I went to take a closer look inside at home under better lighting, I noticed some markings on the inside of the inner upper as well (like, blem or water marks). I have never shot or even loaded the rifle yet, I'm terrified to shoot it because if there's one problem, who knows how many more there may be? What really sucks is that I got it as a birthday present for myself and that day has come and gone.
