I lost my father on 08-25-2008. He served in the US Air Force at Dyess AFB, 819 Medical Group SAC, in Abilene, TX during 1966 to 1970. I have a copy of his DD214 and I am trying to assemble a shadow box of several items from his military service. I am the only one in my family that is interested in this and could use some help.
I will list the abbreviations and ANY help would be appreciated,
These are listed under section 24:
NDSM
AFM 900-3/// SAEMR
SOG-486
Hq LMTC 17 Nov 66
AFOUA SOGB-570, 1 Nov 68 DAF
AFGCM AFM 900-3, 12 Oct 69
25:
Med Hlpr Specl AZR90010-1967
It also shows a $10,000 servicemen's group life insurance coverage. Is my family eligible for that or was that only during his duty time?
I know nothing about this stuff and would apprecciate any help.
