You served with my Dad, He was in Q-2 87-89 As for me: USAF 94-01 2A676 BT Lackland AFB TS Sheppard AFB 94 Barksdale AFB 96 McChord AFB with 5 years in AMC I have been everywhere After 9-11 I quit my job and starting making SAPIs for the guys over there we made 30,000 of them to keep the guys safe Family: Father was a Marine 67-91 Grandfather was Army in WWII and a Marine in Korea 2 cousins Navy, 3 USMC cousins |

I unfortunately never served. Too self serving. But I would like to give credit where it is due.
My dad and my two uncles - US Navy Radar and Radio. WWII (Uncle was in Pearl Harbor) My 3rd oldest brother - 101 Airbourne (Bastogne Brigade) - Mechanic/Rifleman, PFC Cousin Neil - USN Reserves - CB - Ship Securit , Petty Officer first class Cousin Aaron - USAF - Captain, Flys refulers and bombers, Active Duty (wife is USAF Ret Pilot) Neice's Husband - USA, Active in Bagdad, Family Medicine and Back-up Sergon, Captian My other Neice - USN Academy Cadet. Currently in the top 10% of her class (Her grandfather was in band of brothers and was the guy in the picture with Ike (next to #23)) |

I was 21B there because everyone was reclassed to do other jobs.
Our entire battalion was split up and sent to differnt parts of Iraq and Afghanistan. My group was sent to abu reclassed as a construction unit to build up the prison. Onother group was made security for road construction in afg. and the others were in ramadi as IED route clearance. Another thing is that almost everyone at a time was reclassed at abu. When i first go there almost all the MP's were field artillery. |

Meh... I came of age after Desert Storm and got out before Iraq so IMO all I did was wear a uniform and get a few tats.
Boot- MCRD Parris Island, SC 1132/D/1st Bn MCT- Camp Geiger, NC Arty school- Ft. Sill, OK- 0844 FDC HQ/4/14/4 USMCR transferred to 4th Force Recon Mobile, AL (transferred college) jump school- Ft. Benning Dislocated left knee and discharged after meritorious Corporal... major bummer... torn ALC, MCL and PCL and 3 meniscous tears... it hurt too! I had aced the OSB and was looking forward to Quantico and getting a commission but... 2 surgeries and 8 months of rehab killed that plan. Oh, I also did 5 years as a cadet in Civil Air Patrol and was a cadet Lt. Col and commander of my cadet squadron before I enlisted as an E1... the Army and AF was gonna give me E3 but I wanted to be a Marine so I took a "pay cut". |

Various 7th Fleet with Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club and a little TDY here and there. 1st Honorable DD-214 (shipped over) in 1969 followed by C-School, some more sea duty, some shore duty, and 2nd Honorable DD-214 in 74. GI Bill education thereafter and still in the game working for a DoD contractor but planning for full retirement in 2 (already have the direct ocean-front condo too). Steve ETA: Got a SWEET offer and stayed a little longer (3 more years but..). Finally retired now

Ha! I was assigned to 14 MI Bn (TE) from 1990-1993 at Ft. Lewis. You guys were sister to our E Co. I remember an exercise where one of your guys was doing E&E out in South Rainier and Battalion decided he was lost, so sent us all out en masse to look for him.
