I did 14 tours there as a sector commander...I dont volunteer anymore. I get depressed for days and cannot breathe throught my nose for about the same ammount of time I am depressed.

i feel you bro, i was on the pile about 125 hours, i have the same exact reactions, the this that chapp smy ass, is i am a voll from ct, and they trated all the fdny guys, and i am self employeed woth no insurance, i don;t feel i should have to foot those medical bill smyself

spent at least 30 (12+ hours a day) tours there before the detail was given to FD, ESU, and the construction guys.  

Back to regular patrol, but now we have "Condition Omega Posts".  Basically every potential target, ie-Brooklyn Bridge, 26 Federal Plaza, Federal Courthouse, etc.. is guarded by a cop 24/7.
