Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking at Moving to Texas

My wife is employed by a major car company on the manufacturing end, and I'm a police officer.   She has applied for a better job in with the company, but it's in Texas.  I've been a certified Peace Officer in Alabama for 20 years.   If she gets the position, I'd like to go to job with a department there in Texas.  

What do I need to know or do about getting certified in Texas?
