Dead guy ID'd as brother of a man in prison for killing another LRPD officer working off duty in 93

Many moons ago there was a rookie LEO assigned to a booth post outside a prison wall in town. The Sgt. assigned him there to "keep him out of trouble." Along comes a guy with a gun,he asks the officer a question to get his attention and then pulls out the gun and says "Gimme your money!" the officer relieves him of the gun and slaps the cuffs on him. He calls the station house and says he made an arrest! Sgt, now figures he is ready to patrol the streets on his own now.
