I'm ordering a G34 to carry on duty.  I'm interested in changing the front sight for something in night sight flavor.  What do you recommend?  What height for POA=POI?  Pics of your setup?  I'm not interested in changing the rear sight at this time.  I'm leaning toward something similar to the Trijicon HD front in yellow or orange.

Trijicon HDs are my favorite pistol sight.

I don't think that's going to work well with a factory rear sight. It's not much more for the full set if you shop around.

But if you are hell bent on just the front sight., check out Dawson Precision. If you call them they will get you squared away.

This.

Your other option is the Glock factory NS install service.

Anyone know what height a stock G34 sight is?

Glock offers two different heights, 4.1mm and 4.9mm. I believe 4.1mm is stock with the option to use the 4.9mm if your point of impact is high.

I like Big Dot sights. They are an acquired taste. They are also fast. Trijicons are good too though.

Bite the bullet and get a set of U notch Trijicons in whichever color you prefer.

Just dont get fiber optics for carry. They are always breaking and you have to thread new fiber thru the front.

Fiber optics are a no go.  I ordered it yesterday, its supposed to be in Friday.  Still debating sights

Do you actually like the 3/4 box rears? I can't stand them.

I don't mind them.  I shoot pretty good with them actually.  My current carry is a G22 with Glock night sights.  I also ankle carry a G27 with the factory U sights.....  I'm more accurate with the G27!

I'm liking the Trijicon HD XR.   Red or Yellow?  I'm 31 and still have good eyesight.

I don't care for Dawson's fiber optic, the green dot is too small to pick up quickly.

Truglo TFX are all enclosed making them tolerate rough handling.

Good day and night.

Good Luck

Ameriglo has their HD version, cheaper than trijicon.

I've had the paint on the front of those fall out multiple times(like on several glocks). Ameriglo fixed it, but its simply not as robust as the Trijicon HD design.

The TFXs are pretty neat. But they are kind of mediocre at being FO and nightsights, not real bright but they work. Like a jack of all trades but master of none sorta thing.
