Work EMS and had to retire my old worn out 5.11s for a new pair , my partner says man your gonna scew us soon as you bring those new ones , were gonna get broke in along with them lol . So yesterday all goes well untill later in the evening starts out with a close encounter of the Bill Clinton type , had to escorted by secret service and a few swat guys for an elderly lady not feeling well , and walked right past wild bill himself we were like WTF no body knew he was in town , then immediately after not two blocks from that after a refusal had vehicle vs pedestrian , on scene determine its two patients one was in a motorized wheelchair , two trauma stats out of that , wheelchair guy prob not going to make it. Then after clearing er got sent to back up another truck on head on with multiple pts/entrapment , on scene had one female doa, male driver agonal unresponsive flew him, other vehicle had male and female both with femur fractures and possible closed chest injurys. Clear up from er after that go to crash post police pursuit , couple charged with kidnapping and GTA had an infant and 2 year old unrestrained inside , thankfully they were fine , PD roughed up the others pretty good once they discoverd the kids, then give kids over to second unit and respond from there a mile away for a rollover entrapment, 45 min extrication there for that guy. So be warned , get new boots , they will break you in .

Maybe I should buy new boots then, it's been falls, flu, and UTI's for me here lately.

Man it's that all day here too but shit not that night , crazy , had a fatal structure fire yesterday also that's an honorable mention.

We're such a suspicious lot.

Although I switched from a black to a red pen light, and from a ball point pen to a different point. I also moved the little magnetic ball I found from the top of my belt to the bottom, and stopped using hair gel. I noticed this reduced the severity of calls, but increased the after 7pm frequency. Still trying to get it just right.

I would always tell my partner I knew it was going to be very busy and we would be up all night. Then the next morning as we stumbled out of the station I could say, well I guess it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

You're doing it wrong.  Everybody knows that little magnetic ball you found has to go in your right rear pocket, not on your belt.  Sheesh.....

Whatever you do, don't even think about putting it in your left front pocket!!!!
