Officer Eric Taylor
Massillon PD. Massillon, Ohio August 09/2002 I attended Officers Taylor’s funeral services , There was a great outpouring of community support , we had a 2 Mile long procession that ran threw the City Of Akron , all along the route children from grade schools held flags and banners. Entire neighborhoods stood at the road side waving flags or with heads bowed. It was beautiful, if only it were for a different reason that the loss of a brother Officer. I did not know this Officer; my department is located some 20-30 miles from Massillon but other departments came from all over the country. Taylor’s wife spoke at his funeral, it was the first time I had ever shed tears onto my uniform, It made my stomach twist to think of my wife having to go through what this woman facing, but she was strong, like many other wives, husbands , mothers , fathers , siblings, and children who have lost love ones in the line of duty. He was killed by a man with a belief that the government of the United States had no barring on him, thus in his twisted mind that gave him the right to take the life of an Officer . Taylor had came to the assistance of a Ohio State Trooper who was perusing this suspect , with blind faith in that our job is just, he gave his life , for the same reason we all put this uniform on every day. I’m not really sure why I am making this post other than to attempt to put a face to one of the names on that all to long of a list. Thank you for reading these words |

His Murderers Were taken off death row By Illinois Governor George Ryan January 11, 2003.
His memory will always live with his family and friends. We miss you Tim.
Ryan is a very evil man and needs things done to him that I, as a Christian, shall not speak of.
God bless all those lost!

I to have been following the Okla Trooper Green Slaying.
Trooper Green walked up on a mobile meth lab in the early morning hours, just before dawn.
Maybe it's just me here in Garfield Co. Oklahoma, but I've noticed over the last few months of monitoring the scanner, that the cookers are starting to get more violent and carry weapons more often than was the case just last year.
I think the high conviction rate and long jail terms are making the cookers even more dangerous than they usualy are.
God speed Trooper Green.
