THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Found this in the tool box whilst spring cleaning. Blast from the past. I also found my old metro brain bucket.

Do they still have these in MD?

EDIT: I trust PERSEC is not much of an issue here. Right? EDIT deux: Tinfoil tightened. This is the intertubez after all.

Woosah...mother fucker.

I've got NY VF tags. Oddly, they have EMT and Dive and CAP tags but no career FD tags.

Er ... yes they do. Uniformed Firefighter on a different page.

I don't put anything I don't have to on my vehicle. No reason to make myself or my family a target. No bumper stickers, vanity tags, etc.

We have then in KY most of the State police and some of the local LEO will not let a fireman in a POV on scene, even if you have red lights and siren flashing. if you do not have the state issued plate. I am both a VFF and Sheriffs Deputy so my POV does have the state issued license plate but if I am at a scene as a deputy I pretty much know who is and is not a VFF(very small town only about 15 firemen and 4-5 deputies) so I act accordingly.

We have them here.

Even if VFD is lit up better than my patrol car, they don't get into a scene unless they have the state plate and/OR a placard on the front stating "<Fill In Agency Here> Volunteer Fire Dept" or something of the like, issued by the agency.

ETA: Clarification

I used to have them, we get a discount in VA I think. When I bought a new car I didn't feel like harassing the chief to get him to sign off on it.

I also scraped off all the bumper stickers off my truck, I was getting to many strange looks from LEOs in the Northern VA/DC/MD area as well as civilians...
FWIW AND IMHO always

I've got NM State Career Firefighter plates on the rear with my departments plate on the front.

2) "memorial" which give money to the fallen firefighters funs, available to the public
3) "retired" same as #1 but retired

Not so much those, but all the right wing ones next to those didn't help.
