THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I posted a new picture on my POF page. It's the main picture of me in a black shirt. I thought it was a decent picture, but my inbox has exploded and I am just curious exactly why. 
Removed profile, so the guys in GD don't spam me. If you need to see it to offer advice just IM me. Do you know what it is that you like about that picture? What sets it apart from my other pictures? What kind of emotional response do you get if any? Does it make you feel anything? What does this picture say about this person? What's the first think when you see it? While I'm asking if you don't find me attractive, don't like any pictures or anything else on my profile let me know. Be honest, I'm a big boy I can take it. Thank you very much for your help. |

You look good to me. Like an MMA guy. I'm surprised other women like it though. There's a slightly "primitive" look to you I didn't think they'd dig. And you're supposed to have pics that someone else took of you in a group to show you have friends. Bathroom self-shots are supposed to be bad.
You look rugged. I really like that. And in before XCR takes you and uses you for her dirty wicked needs.

His body fat is lower in that pic too, and that and the angle of the shot make the jaw come out more. Much more "dangerous" and masculine looking than any of his other pics. Personally I hate these "I need a ladies opinion" posts but what the hell....honestly, the picture looks like it was snapped while you were dismembering a transient prostitute you lured home and plan to snack on later.
Don't get bunged up though...that's just because of the expression. I would suggest smiling and, since you're obviously a good looking guy, you'll get an even better response. I agree with Brandi, you should smile.
The lack of a smile would make me pass the profile up unless you were doing something fun in the pic. That's just me. I haven't done the online dating thing, so I'm not exactly certain specifically why other women on there have given you a good response. Just be happy you're getting a good response! If you updated your profile, maybe there is a way for them to search profiles based on newest added or recently updated? Just a thought. I have no clue why the recent explosion of response. Still, unless you're in the military AND in your uniform, SMILE! Smiles look great on men.  |

I don't really have anything to add as for your question because your picture really didn't do much for me. You are an attractive guy, but you look somewhat hostile in those pics with the lack of smiling and all...
I just wanted to say that I think the blanket dog is a freaking adorable - a little dingopup  - and would have contacted you based off of that as a main pic. |

I vote for the pic of you in front of the plane. I'm really into aviation so I'm prejudiced...but I like it best. Or...if you want to cover all your bases you can take a picture next to the plane, on your bike, holding a dog while wearing your ghi.
