I finally got the scope for my newest build. Haven't had much time to test it out but loving the reticle so far. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/BeautifulStranger_13/liam/bs2/8985CA1A-5C5D-4AC0-8C2E-787BED242F22-530-0000004E82092844_zpsa2231a2d.jpg And for the hotness. I won a chance to have a gun cerakoted. I have recently decided to work harder with my new G19 so I picked old faithful (M&P 9, Susan g komen addition) to get painted. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/BeautifulStranger_13/liam/bs2/A6528483-EB29-4DB3-BF3D-747AACB424D1-530-0000004E8997DC74_zpsbd06028e.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/BeautifulStranger_13/liam/bs2/0DF59716-5539-4826-87DF-785C4736C5CB-530-0000004E8E0D46EA_zpsc31e20cd.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/BeautifulStranger_13/liam/bs2/8037278E-DEBD-48D4-B61E-312360B42A75-530-0000004E94C93DA3_zps623135d6.jpg I picked the pattern from a web search. I feel it's pretty unique and badass looking in hand. Wow! I'm liking the pink and black! I figured you would like it. It's really not that bright in person. As soon as I get a chance I'll try to get some better pics of it. |
|
I'm not a huge fan of pink but I really am liking that hot pink & black!

The asshole that coated it kept it too long!
For the curious, it's "Sig Pink" Cerakote, and the black is "Graphite Black" Cerakote. The really funny thing about her winning the coating job on the gun, is that her husband bought the pistol for her, from me. |

If you don't do any shooting past 100 yards then something with a 1-4X scope, then you can mount your red dot sight on top (with the right scope mount) or off at an angle with an offset mount. Without knowing how much you have to spend I can't recommend specific scopes but here's some brands you can research and see if there's something you like...Nikon, Vortex, Leupold, Trijicon are the 4 I usually choose from but there are others like Bushnell, Burris.... |

Picked up a new play thing yesterday. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n196/BeautifulStranger_13/liam/bs2/DBA758FB-3551-49D1-A5A3-3F3FE34040BD-2316-000000F4398D0E75_zpsd49c9ec2.jpg Savage model 10 in 6.5 creedmoor View Quote Good choice! Savage rifles are fantastic rifles for the money. The models with the accu-stock (or after market higher end stock) and accu-triggers are easily as accurate as most rifle 3 or 4X it's price. Mines a Savage 116 FCSS "Weather Warrior" .30-06 with a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x42 scope. It's set up more for hunting than long range shooting but she definitely has the ability to be used for both. I've never owned a 6.5 Creedmoor but I've read they are very good for long range shooting and hunting. How's it shoot? |

Just got ammo for it yesterday and now I need to wait for the rain to stop. I'm not sure what scope it will end up with yet I know last we talked cowboy was thinking a Vortex of some sort. I can't remember what range now. It has the good trigger in it and we are currently trying to make a deal with the people who make cowboys lapua stock for a better one. It's crazy front heavy. A friend of ours has this gun and he talked us into it. He has only god things to say about it and has taken it out pretty far with awesome groupings. I'm really excited to push it and see what distance we can get. |

Set up like you're doing should give you a very sweet shooter. Can't wait to hear how it performs! I'm still waiting to do the fine tweaking on mine, not having access to a place to shoot long distance has been a real downer.
Let me know how durable that coating on your M&P turns out to be please? I had been planning to have mine done with hydrographics but if yours is really durable I might go that route. My G21 is in desperate need of a new finish so once I can afford it I'll probably have it dipped to get a pink/black skull pattern. |

So here's my latest project. I've had this revolver for a couple years now and it is amazing, I absolutely love it, it is definitely my favorite revolver but I thought I would try to make it even better. It has very good adjustable sights on it but I had been thinking about adding a red dot sight for quite awhile. It took several months just to get the mount since nobody keeps them in stock and required me to prepay for them to order it. Well, I wasn't going to prepay and wait the 3 to 6 months they said it would take for it to arrive and risk one popping up on the EE and then try to cancel the order and get reimbursed and yadda yadda yadda. Then I found SWFA who agreed to order one with no paying up front and they got it for me. It still took several months but I finally got it. I already had a spare Trijicon RMR so it was fast and painless to swap out the factory sights for the RMR. Fortunately for me, my revolver is a S&W Performance Center gun so it was already drilled at tapped to accept the mount. I haven't had a chance to shoot her yet so I've been using that time to practice finding the "dot" which with no other sight to reference off takes a little work to master. I've gotten much better at finding the dot just in the few days since I mounted the RMR so by the time I get her to the range I should be pretty good at getting it quickly. So here she is - S&W 629 V-Comp PC .44 magnum now sporting a Trijicon RMR ( 7 MOA Amber Dot Dual Illumination ) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v660/Brandiwynter/IMG_0181_zps54260412.jpg View Quote Hello Snake Pliskin |

Looks cool, I'm about to do my G21 but I don't know which color to get to match with Magpul Pink.
Did you use the nail polish method or something else? I need details! lol |

What's the brand of the polish and the color? That's the closest I've seen to Magpul pink so far.

Here's my newest toy, a Lipsey Exclusive Ruger Single Six Convertible! These aren't sold through Ruger like all the other Single Sixes but are made for Lipsey in small runs every few years. I've wanted one for years but just couldn't ever manage it, then one came up for sale locally and my sister got it for me as an early birthday present. It's several months early but finding one of these doesn't happen often so it was a case of going for it while the getting was good. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v660/Brandiwynter/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0189_zpsftdxpuzk.jpg View Quote OMG Brandi! that's such a pretty gun!!!
